Our natural setting is enhanced by its modern, attractive, and state-of-the-art classroom buildings and support facilities.\nPURPOSE\nThe Program Director for Pollution Prevention Partnership and AutoCheck, under general direction, directs the administration of assigned programs, including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling program activities. The position directs the Pollution Prevention Partnership and AutoCheck program; supports the research community through direct engagement with faculty and staff, maintains program websites; and helps support basic information technology resources with the team.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nProgram Administration: 90%\nEstablishes strategic goals and designs innovative solutions to local and regional air quality issues.\nDevelops and maintains cooperative relationships with external stakeholders of the Pollution Prevention Partnership and AutoCheck program.\nWrites program applications, work plans and reports. Researches and identifies possible funding sources. Writes grants and responds to Requests for Proposals as needed.\nDevelops work plans to meet funding source needs and sustain/grow program. Produces accurate monthly reports to funding sources, contract representatives, and University staff. Reports will include activities and deliverables performed, environmental impacts , income and expense status of program, and budgeting information.\nRecruits, hires and trains student workers and interns to assist in program operations.\nCoordinates and delivers AutoCheck 'Clean Fleet' program. Conducts program emission testing sessions in outdoor environments. Organizes, sets up, and breaks down testing events. Gathers emissions data, compiles and submits accurate and timely reports.\nMarkets and recruits for program partners and stakeholders to participate in program. Meets with community members and officials and encourages their participation in program. Ensures program website is current, produces accurate and timely reports.\nResearches emerging technologies related to pollution prevention. Evaluates, purchases, maintains, upgrades, and operates equipment and software.\nFulfills all terms of program contract with Port of Corpus Christi and other funding partners.\nEnsures continued eligibility for repair voucher funding to support the AutoCheck program.\nResearch/Program Support: 5%\nSupports Research Engagement initiatives to help increase research funding.\nProvides consultation to faculty and staff in the proposal development process.\nDevelops and supports organizational research impact capacity.\nOther: 5%\nHelps to maintain organizational websites and information technology resources among team.\nSafely operates university vehicles/machinery.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s degree in applicable field.\nTen (10) years of related experience\nAdditional education may be considered as a substitution for the minimum experience requirements:Master’s degree in applicable field, and eight (8) years of related experience;
