This position is responsible for the collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of institutional data to support strategic planning, compliance reporting, and operational decision-making. The Senior Data Analyst collaborates with departments across the university to understand business needs, develop data solutions, ensure data accuracy and integrity, and provide actionable insights through reports, dashboards, and analytical studies.\nThe salary is determined in accordance with the University’s compensation structure and will be commensurate with the candidates’ education and experience, within the assigned salary range for this position.\nResponsibilities:\nPrepare and submit institutional data for required state, federal, system, and accountability reports, including IPEDS, Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB), and Texas A&M University System reporting.\nCoordinate responses to external surveys and ranking requests, including the Common Data Set, U.S. News & World Report, and other higher education data requests.\nDevelop, maintain, and validate recurring and ad hoc reports, analyses, dashboards, and data visualizations for internal and external stakeholders.\nPartner with academic and administrative units to understand business needs, clarify reporting and analytical requirements, and translate institutional data into actionable information that supports decision-making and operational effectiveness.\nExtract, transform, integrate, and analyze data from multiple institutional systems while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and data integrity.\nInterpret and communicate analytical findings to a variety of audiences, providing context, methodology, and recommendations as appropriate.\nIdentify data quality issues and collaborate with data owners and campus partners to improve data accuracy and reliability.\n Contribute to the development and maintenance of institutional data definitions, reporting standards, and data governance practices.\nSupport strategic planning, enrollment management, student success initiatives, accreditation efforts, and other university priorities through data analysis and research.\nStay current on emerging trends, reporting requirements, and best practices in institutional research, higher education analytics, and data management.
