A Glimpse of the job:
The Systems Administrator II performs complex and specialized systems administration support functions, such as troubleshooting, analysis, research, de-bugging, and problem-solving.
Essential Duties/Tasks:
Systems Administration
Responsible for the day-to-day administration and support of established, large and multiple client servers/systems.
Installs, upgrades, and configures server hardware and software. Assists with the design and implementation of server systems.
Installs and configures network file servers and hardware. Provides technical oversight of server testing and application.
Conducts server performance analyses and tuning.
Creates programs for automating system administration.
Analyzes system logs and identifies potential issues with computer systems.
Troubleshoots and repairs complex hardware and software for servers.
Troubleshoots and repairs configuration problems and troubleshoots routine network problems.
Provides Tier II support and assists with Tier III support, including assisting with routine audits of systems and software.
Evaluates and follows through on issues and problems until resolved or escalated. Performs annual security assessments.
Designs system security measures, data backup, and protection methods.
Develops disaster recovery plans for servers.
Technical Collaboration
Implements new technology deployments and system integration testing. Implements the evaluation of new technologies to determine their applicability to clients’ needs.
Assists project leaders with developing work plans and time schedules for projects requiring coordination between multiple units within the department or IT Operations team.
Documentation
Reviews the accuracy of documentation of server support methods, procedures, and configuration.
Researches, recommends, specifies, and plans for large server hardware and software purchases in support of clients’ overall goals.

Salary Range: $67,000 - $70,180 annually*

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three years of systems administration experience.
*Compensation is based on the analyses of the above qualifications during the recruitment process.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Azure Infrastructure.
Experience with Power BI.
Experience with GitHub.
Experience with Microsoft Fabric Linux and Windows Server Admin.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Knowledge of troubleshooting and problem-solving, client relations, requirement assessment and analysis, project management methodology, context and interrelationships, and the Information Technology Interface Library (ITIL).
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
