Works on complex technical projects involving the design, building, and maintenance of various components crucial to on-set display volume work and day-to-day operations, including client projects, maintenance, and internal creative efforts.\nWhat you need to know\nSalary: Commensurate\nLocation: Fort Worth, TX\nTravel: May require occasional travel for on-location productions\nSchedule: May require evening and weekend work during production periods\nQualifications\nRequired Education and Experience\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience\nFour years of experience in systems engineering, broadcast engineering, or related field\nRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nAdvanced knowledge of LED panel display systems and module LED technology\nAdvanced experience with Megapixel LED processor and similar products\nStrong PC proficiency at component level\nKnowledge of camera systems and tracking systems (Stype preferred)\nExperience with broadcast engineering workflows\nKnowledge of timing systems (sync generators, master clocks)\nExperience in live events/productions/tv/film\nAdvanced troubleshooting skills for complex integrated systems\nAbility to multitask and work cooperatively with others\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nDetail-oriented with ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently\nExperience using robotic cameras and cranes\nComputers\nLED Panels and Control Systems\nCamera and Video Equipment\nAbility to lift or move equipment\nAbility to work at heights on ladders or lifts\nVisual acuity to work with detailed technical systems\nMust be able to work in dark or low-light environments\nResponsibilities\nLED and Video Systems Management\nAssists in the operation, maintenance, and expansion of flagship virtual production LED volume stage\nCollaborates with team to design, build, and maintain video distribution and monitoring systems\nOversees operation of all physical aspects of LED operation and content serving\nImplements and maintains color pipeline for on-set virtual production process\nWorks with production teams to meet individual project needs\nTechnical Infrastructure and Systems\nWorks with team to design, build, and maintain hardware for render nodes and control systems\nCollaborates in designing, building, and maintaining IT network infrastructure for entire stage facility\nManages and maintains internal stage camera package\nAssists external productions with integrating virtual production camera hardware/technology\nImplements timing systems and broadcast engineering workflows\nMaintenance and Troubleshooting\nPerforms preventative maintenance on all systems\nDiagnoses and resolves issues in complex integrated systems\nManages PC maintenance and upgrade tasks\nMonitors system performance and suggests improvements\nImplements best practices for system security and data backups\nDocumentation and Support\nCreates system-related documents including installation procedures and maintenance protocols\nEnsures accuracy and effectiveness of systems to meet production requirements\nSupports tours, demos, and internal creative efforts\nCollaborates with VP Supervisor to ensure all hardware, software, and networking dependencies are met\nWhy Texas A&M University?\nWe are a prestigious university with strong traditions, Core Values, and a community of caring and collaboration.
