We're searching for applications engineer who have the passion and excitement to grow, innovative, take an active role in product definition, execute the characterization until ramp, and provide post ramp application support to customers.\nThis role is responsible for application support for MCU. Key responsibilities include:\nAnswer customer questions and supporting design-in activities for released products. This includes:\nForum and email questions from customers\nSchematic and Layout Review of customer application\nDebug of customer problems by re-creating issues in our evaluation boards and/or customer boards\nOn-site support for customer board as required\nDesign EVM and internal evaluation boards to support correlation and evaluation activities of new products\nCreate user guides, test procedures and proper release of EVM boards for customer consumption\nParticipate in datasheet review to ensure completeness of datasheet being developed by the Systems Engineer\nPerform Bench Characterization for high-speed communication and analog interfaces, including bench automation, hardware design and develop test techniques. \nParticipate in new silicon testing from an application perspective to ensure robustness of the product (i.e. destructive testing)\nWork with systems engineer to provide support to early design in activities for new products\nCreate custom reference designs targeting relevant applications to be used as customer implementation ideas\nWrite application notes that explain different use cases, implementation and/or flexibility of our products\nTravel to customer locations to diagnose and resolve technical issues, present new product features, and facilitate hands-on training workshops\nMinimum requirements\nBachelor's degree in electrical engineering, ECE, or related field\nAt least 2 years of relevant experience\nExperience in applications support of analog products\nSolid hardware and software debugging skills\nStrong technical background, with the ability to produce high quality technical documentation\nPreferred qualifications:\nAbility to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders critical to success, both internally and externally\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nAbility to quickly ramp on new systems and processes\nDemonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills\nAbility to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions\nAbility to take the initiative and drive for results\nStrong time management skills that enable on-time project
