We enable powering next generation AI datacenters, provide motor control solutions for Humanoids, robotics, etc., build AI solutions for predictive diagnostics, improve performance, control and optimize energy efficiency.\nWe are looking for an application engineer who has the passion and excitement to continuously learn, innovate, take an active role in solving real time control. It is a fast paced, results driven environment requiring Microcontroller knowledge, system level understanding, software development, Motor control algorithms and system hardware skillsets. You will collaborate with worldwide accounts to solve their system challenges, enable them to go to market faster, work with marketing and business leadership to develop strategic technical solutions to enable TI business growth and impact the next generation of products.\nKey responsibilities include:\nDevelop sensored and sensor less motor control algorithms to enable - faster response, Smoother speed, less acoustic noise\nOwn specific IP’s - write technical reference manual, resolve customer issues through E2E platform and field engagement\nParticipate in customer calls to understand system requirements and help select the right devices and reference designs\nSupport customer design-in activities by:Adapting our system reference solutions to their custom hardware design.\nMeet customer across the globe to promote our technical benefits and resolve technical issues / Debug\nSchematic and layout review of customer solutions for our device\nHelp with software porting, optimize software to improve performance.\n\nResolve production stop issues for customers\nDesign EVM and internal evaluation boards to support evaluation activities of new products.\nTrain Field Applications Engineers and customers on ASM Microcontrollers and reference designs\nWrite application notes and training collateral that explain features, implementation of motor control on ASM Microcontrollers.\n Qualifications\nMinimum requirements:\nMaster’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree\n3 years of application/system engineering experience\nMotor control algorithm development\nStrong knowledge of Microcontrollers\nExperience in embedded C software development\nSolid hardware and software debugging skills\nPreferred qualifications:\nPHD in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Electrical Drive Systems\nHands-on experience working in motor control algorithm development \nKnowledge on Matlab, Simulink and Plexim for simulation and model-based code generation\nDigital control system design\nFamiliarity with field bus communication\nPower electronic system design\nKnowledge on functional safety, security and artificial intelligence\nAbility to review schematics and PCB layout using CAD tools\nDemonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nAbility to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions\nDemonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships\nStrong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery\nSelf-driven and ability to take initiative and
