You will have the opportunity to work in a vibrant and dynamic team-oriented environment with exposure to a variety of state-of-the art applications each day.\nThe Advanced Technology Development (ATD) team creates and delivers innovative technology roadmaps and platforms to enable robust, cost-competitive and industry-leading TI products. This is a Research & Development group.\nThe QEV group (inside ATD) is responsible for creating, testing, characterizing, and stressing custom mixed signal IC’s as part of the ATD technology qualification process.\nATD QEV Product engineers have the following responsibilities:\nCollaborating and working closely with Process and BU stakeholders to develop characterization and test plans to support early Process Technology nodes development and ramp. \nATE Test Hardware and Software development for a broad range of analog and mixed signal prototypes in support to qualify advanced process technology nodes.\nDesign Probe and Package ATE test hardware, using Cadence Allegro tools for custom schematics & PCB layouts. \nDesign HTOL (High Temperature Operating Life) evaluation application circuits (Burn in boards) and generate application programs for bench evaluations and reliability stress testing.\nPerform silicon validation & characterization testing during project development phase, to report parametric performance and yield opportunities for improvement.This will require comprehensive IC circuit debugging, design & process validation, and failure analysis. \n\nWork with Failure Analysis group (FA) to determine root causes of any reliability and qualification failures.\nTexas Instruments will not sponsor job applicants for visas or work authorization for this position.\nMinimum requirements:\nBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent \nCumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or higher\nPreferred qualifications:\nSolid understanding of electrical components and their characteristics: Resistor, Capacitor, Inductor, Diode, Bipolar Transistor (BJT),\nField Effect Transistor (FET), and Transmission Line.\n\nSolid understanding of analog, digital, and mixed signal and circuits of their operation and analysis. Examples: Digital Logic, Analog to Digital Converter (ADC), Digital to Analog Converter (DAC), OpAmp, LDO, Regulator, Current Mirror.\n\nHands-on experience working with different lab equipment for taking data and / or performing device debug or failure analysis. For example, use of the curve tracers; return loss analyzers, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.\n\nExperience of bench testing of op-amps, ADCs, DACs, LDOs, mixed-signal circuits and digital circuits.\n\nExperience with integrated circuit and device failure analysis.\n\nProgramming skills for automation of bench characterization equipment.
