As a General Ledger Accountant, you will be involved in General Ledger controlling and reporting, compliance, tax, statutory, and multiple general accounting and reporting activities, along with a range of other financial reconciliation and control tasks as required within the team.\nResponsibilities include:\nResponsible for balancing books periodically by preparing and posting journal entries, maintaining and reconciling ledger accounts, providing record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions.\nResponsible for preparing profit and loss statement, and balance sheet statement to management team and external parties.\nPrepare and be responsible for internal or external reporting required within Malaysia by collecting data, analyzing, and investigating variances, and summarizing data and trends.\nRespond to financial inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.\nSupport preparation of statutory accounts, liaising with external auditors and other stakeholders.\nEngage in supporting the US GAAP Internal audit, External audit and SOX Compliance.\nAccomplish finance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.\nEnsure robust controls for transaction processing, accounting process and close activities, and compliance reporting according to Malaysia accounting standards (MFRS), and TI policies and procedures.\nProactively identify new initiatives that could benefit TI with process improvement and systems enhancement initiatives with automation process.\nDevelop recommendations to optimize current process and procedures and detect inaccuracies.\nLiaison with the other TI sites for best practice sharing and process improvements.\nMinimum requirements:\nBachelor’s Degree in Accountancy (Hons.) or equivalent with full professional qualification of CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.\ncgpa 3.5 and above\nFresh graduates (0-2) years experience are welcome to apply, preference for general ledger accounting experience.\nPreferred qualifications:\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nAbility to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions\nAbility to take the initiative and drive for results\nStrong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery\nAbility to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and rapidly changing
