Love your job.\nTexas Instruments is looking for a dynamic and detailed-oriented Engineering Technician to join our team. In this role, you would support the Product Engineering team’s development on cutting-edge devices through your work with both New Product Development and COGS/Quality/Sustaining teams to drive development and release of new devices, as well as test cost reduction, qualification / characterization, and customer returns. You would support development on roadmap ATE platforms. You would also drive bench testing and debug, soldering activities for PCB modification and repair, and qualification/characterization activities working closely with our labs.\nResponsibilities include:\nTechnical functions in support of engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry or specialized test equipment\nApplications may include analog, digital and/or video circuits, logic systems, and packaging.\nWork from schematics, diagrams, written, and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.\nConduct engineering tests and detailed experimental testing \nPerform operational test and fault isolation on systems and equipment\nContributor to New Product Development and COGS/Quality/Sustaining team projects \nSupport Automated Test setup requests and volume handler/prober runs across multiple ATE platforms\nSupport qualification Hardware (BIBs, THB, BLR boards) bring-up and testing\nSupport ATE verification and result documentation activities on priority customer returns\nPerform soldering activities for repairs/debug/maintenance\n Minimum requirements:\nAssociates degree in related field\n2+ years of relevant work experience\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAbility to coordinate and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision\nUnderstand complex processing of material flow\nAutomated Test Equipment experience \nSoldering knowledge and skills \nMechanical knowledge to support repair and maintain sockets/boards and setups \nKnowledge of digital and analog test methods, high speed interfaces, standard testing equipment such as scope, power meter, DVM, signal generators and analyzers, spectrum and network analyzers\nAbility to work in a team setup comprising of other functional groups \nStrong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery \nDemonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships \nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment \nAbility to take the initiative and drive for results \nStrong problem solving, verbal, and written communications skills \nAbility to multitask between projects and be able to maintain project schedules \nExperience with integrated circuit and device failure analysis \nProgramming skills for automation of automated test
