Love your job.\nTexas Instruments (TI) is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Facilities Central Engineering Team. In this role you will drive continuous improvement and optimization of our electrical low-voltage switchgear, transformers, emergency power, and electrical distribution systems. You will leverage your technical expertise to advance process efficiency, ensure compliance, and support the strategic goals of our facility’s manufacturing operations. These systems are designed to run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year without interruption, creating a state of the art manufacturing environment. Facilities works closely with TI's manufacturing team to understand how the utility systems impact the process as well as how to reduce consumption.\nResponsibilities include:\nEngineering & Technical Leadership\nMake engineering decisions that balance safety, reliability, cost, capacity, and operational efficiency\nLead the analysis, design, and continuous improvement of electrical systems (switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, emergency power, electrical panel distribution, and power monitoring)\nProvide engineering technical support for system operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and incident response\nDevelop and maintain key electrical documentation including one-line drawings, standard order of operations, standard operation procedures, and process documents\nDrive reliability and risk-based engineering through root cause analysis, FMEAs, system assessments, and improvement roadmaps\nPartner with operations, maintenance, manufacturing, EHS, and engineering teams to improve system performance and safe operation\nMentor engineers, system specialists, and technicians while strengthening overall team technical capability\nProject Leadership & Execution\nLead capital and expense projects for system upgrades, expansions, and optimization initiatives from concept through startup and handoff\nDefine project scope, priorities, schedules, resources, and success measures, and drive execution to plan\nCoordinate design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup activities to ensure systems perform as intended\nDevelop scopes of work, bid packages, technical specifications, and construction documentation\nFacilitate alignment across engineering, operations, supply chain, and external partners throughout project execution\nIdentify and manage project risks, change control, and implementation issues to minimize operational impact\nReport project progress, results, and lessons learned to leadership\nTexas of relevant engineering experience in electrical systems\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCapital or expense project leadership for electrical systems \nStrong background in electrical systems for semiconductor manufacturing including: Low to high voltage (120V-138kV) electrical distribution\nEmergency power (UPS systems, ATS/STS, generators, and battery systems)\nPower System Analysis (load-flow, short-circuit, arc flash, & coordination study)\nPower Monitoring/SCADA\nIEEE, NFPA, NEC Electrical Standards\n\nAdvanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, FMEA, and reliability engineering experience\nPerformance metrics, dashboards, and data analysis for system optimization\nCross-functional partnership across facilities, manufacturing, EHS, process engineering, and
