In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of innovation, driving strategies that set the course for the next decades of facility operations.\nControls Specialist - Position Overview\nPerform installation, troubleshooting, calibration, and preventive maintenance on facility control systems including PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFDs, sensors, and instrumentation. Support all controls CM & PM work, improvement/efficiency and automation projects for critical utility and building systems. This controls specialist role is essential for maintaining, continuously improving and driving reliability within the infrastructure that enables continuous, safe and high-yield semiconductor manufacturing. As the system specialist, you are the system owner for all North Campus factory controls systems.\nResponsibilities include:\nRespond quickly to potentially critical situations, perform rapid and accurate situational assessments, and troubleshoot system components\nIdentify causes of failures, determine appropriate corrective actions, and implement these corrections promptly to mitigate the effects of system upsets\nReview recommended maintenance procedures to ensure best practices are in place and documented properly\nReview, draft, improve and implement standard operation procedures (SOP) on all related systems\nProvide technical support for 24-hour operations team\nTroubleshoot and maintain PLC/HMI/SCADA programs and hardware for chillers, pumps, cooling towers, AHUs, and process utilities \nPerform PM/CM on control panels, relays, motor controls, VFDs, and instrumentation per FMS work orders \nCalibrate & repair transmitters, pressure/temperature sensors, flow meters, and control valves \nSupport PLC upgrades, program changes, and control logic reviews; document changes per change control \nDesign and maintain control systems networks and hardware\nRespond to alarms, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate with operations and engineering \nMaintain as-built documentation, loop diagrams, and spare parts records \nEnsure safety compliance, LOTO, and EHS requirements during all work\nManage and coordinate contractors & TI’ers supporting the controls team \nLead improvement, efficiency and automation efforts/projects\nTrain & mentor new technicians to support the controls team and ensure TI expectations are met\nInterface directly with facility and factory managers\nReview, assess risks and approve/deny controls related work permits\nMaintain service/replacement parts, request quotes and manage vendors\n Minimum requirements:\nHigh School diploma/GED\n\n10 years’ experience with industrial controls, PLC programming/logic troubleshooting, and instrumentation\n\nWillingness to handle call-in situations after hours\nPreferred qualifications:\nFamiliarity with Rockwell/Allen Bradley, Siemens, or similar PLC platforms;
