Love your job.\nTexas Instruments is seeking an experienced, technical, and hands-on Manager, Global Security Engineering to lead the team responsible for TI’s enterprise physical security technology. This role owns the architecture, infrastructure, integration, system health, and lifecycle management of the security platforms that protect TI’s people, assets, and operations worldwide.\nThe manager leads a team of security engineers and directs global contract security integrators. The role combines physical security engineering with systems administration, data integration, and IT skills those platforms depend on. The manager works closely with Security Operations, the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), IT Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Facilities, Engineering, and Procurement.\nSecurity Engineering exists to serve security operations: systems are owned so completely that operators and leaders simply use them. The team maintains the technical depth to keep critical platforms secure, available, and supported without any single points of failure.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead, coach, and develop security engineers, setting clear goals, high standards, and a culture of service and support of Security Operations and the GSOC\nOwn the global architecture, roadmap, health, and availability of access control, video management, video analytics, visitor management, mass notification, call recording, and risk intelligence platforms\nBuild cross-training, runbooks, and knowledge transfer so critical platforms always have multiple capable administrators\nDesign, execute, and maintain enterprise platform migrations, consolidations, and federated architectures that scale across a global footprint and variable network conditions\nEstablish enterprise design standards and review integrator designs before deployment\nPlan and execute application, database, and operating system upgrades for security servers, including retirement of end-of-support systems\nDeploy, configure, and performance-tune application, database, recording, and expansion servers\nOversee routine server maintenance, including monitoring, alert response, troubleshooting, configuration management, and periodic baseline updates\nPartner with IT Infrastructure on virtualization, server builds, backup, and production outage response\nOwn integrations between security platforms and enterprise systems, including HR, identity, photo, visitor, and reporting feeds\nDevelop APIs, scripts, and middleware connections that improve data quality and reduce manual effort\nBuild dashboards and metrics for system health, performance, and operational effectiveness\nManage security systems as critical IT assets, including patching, hardening, vulnerability remediation, encryption, certificate management, and least-privilege access\nCoordinate network connectivity, firewall rules, and segmentation for sites, remote locations, and mobile security assets\nPartner with Cybersecurity on risk assessments, audits, logging, and compliance with enterprise security standards\nDirect contract security integrators, including scope, design approval, quality, SLA performance, and commissioning\nManage manufacturer relationships, licensing, support agreements, and technical escalations\nDevelop annual capital and operating forecasts and lifecycle replacement plans\nLead security technology scope for new facilities, expansions, and major projects from design through handover\nMaintain architecture diagrams, standards, asset inventories, SOPs, change records, and disaster recovery documentation\nLead business continuity, redundancy, backup, and recovery planning for critical security systems\nTexas administering enterprise physical security systems\nExperience leading engineers, technical teams, or integrator workforces\nExperience building or supporting data integrations between security platforms and enterprise systems\nExperience managing integrators and vendors on multi-site projects with budgets, schedules, and quality standards\nPreferred qualifications:\nAbility to diagnose complex technical issues through structured root cause analysis and drive them to resolution\nStrong communication skills across engineering, operations, IT, vendor, and executive audience\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field\nAdvanced experience with Genetec Security Center, including federation, access control, video, and system architecture\nExperience with LenelS2 OnGuard, especially migrations to or coexistence with Genetec\nFamiliarity with TDS, Everbridge, Calibre by HigherGround, Crisis24 threat intelligence platform, or comparable security and GSOC technologies\nExperience with virtualization, Active Directory, certificates, service accounts, and enterprise authentication\nScripting and automation skills, such as PowerShell, SQL, Python, or REST APIs\nFamiliarity with cybersecurity frameworks for physical security and operational technology, such as NIST CSF, IEC 62443, or ISO 27001\nExperience with video analytics, AI-enabled security technologies, and edge-based devices\nExperience in semiconductor, manufacturing, or critical infrastructure environments with global operations\nExperience supporting high-availability, mission-critical systems for 24/7 operations\nDemonstrated ownership, service orientation, people development, and disciplined execution\nHands-on Windows Server and SQL Server administration, including installation, upgrades, patching, backup and restore, and performance tuning\nUnderstanding of cybersecurity principles for connected security systems, including vulnerability management, hardening, and secure architecture\nHands-on administration of enterprise access control and video management systems, including configuration, integrations, upgrades, and lifecycle management\nWorking knowledge of enterprise networking, including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls, and bandwidth planning
