We are searching for a self-directed, highly motivated engineer to join our team.\nAbout the job:\nTexas Instruments is seeking a Thinfilms, Implant, and Epi AI Engineer who is experienced in developing software and automation solutions to enhance manufacturing quality and productivity. This role is critical to our digital transformation, bridging the gap between process engineering and advanced software development. The ideal candidate is someone who can not only understand complex semiconductor manufacturing processes but also possesses the technical expertise to build, deploy, and sustain automation tools and data pipelines. You will be building solutions that directly impact manufacturing quality and operations while helping transform how our team approaches automation through modern development techniques and AI-assisted coding.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nDevelop and automate manufacturing workflows Qualifications, Dispositions, Process Releases, and other Critical Process Steps. \nRapidly develop and deploy applications and automation solutions using AI code generation platforms (Claude, Copilot, Cursor, etc.) to accelerate development & implementation\nAutomate lot and equipment dispositions to support continuous production flow and minimize cycle time \nIdentify systematic problems in process or equipment and develop automated solutions to drive resolution \nWork with project managers and internal customers to define requirements and develop solutions that meet manufacturing needs \nProvide data solutions and pipelines that enhance manufacturing applications and decision-making \nDocument software systems, usage requirements, and troubleshooting guides for manufacturing teams \nDeliver high quality automated solutions in a timely manner\nMake applications and automation tools compatible with other TI sites and data systems \nAutomate repetitive tasks to drive increased efficiency\nMentor team members across the organizations on proper software development and management techniques\n Minimum requirements:\nBachelors of Science degree in Data Analytics with AI Focus, Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or another related field\n4+ years of industry experience or 4 years of Texas Instruments specific experience\nDemonstrated experience with AI agentic frameworks (such as Claude, Copilot, Cursor or similar AI co-development tools) for accelerating programming tasks\nPreferred qualifications:\nExperience in semiconductor industry is preferred, added plus if directly related to Thinfilms, Implant, and/or Epitaxy\nExperience with relational database management systems (Oracle, MSSQL, PostgresSQL) and SQL\nDemonstrated ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively across several different functions\nDemonstrated ability to take the initiative and drive for results\nStrong critical thinking and problem-solving skills\nGood listener and excellent verbal and written communication
