This is a senior individual contributor role responsible for defining technical direction, architecture standards, and hands-on engineering solutions across modern, multi-vendor data center environments.\nThe ideal candidate is a deep technical expert in large-scale data center networking, with strong experience supporting AI-driven workloads, GPU-based platforms, and cloud-like infrastructure, and a proven track record in automation and Infrastructure as Code, including leadership in Arista-based environments.\nKey Responsibilities\nData Center & Network Architecture\nArchitect and standardize modern data center network designs optimized for scale, resiliency, and performance.\nDesign Layer 2 and Layer 3 architectures leveraging EVPN/VXLAN for multi-tenant, cloud-ready environments.\nLead architecture decisions in a multi-vendor network ecosystem, with strong emphasis on Arista Networks platforms.\nDevelop reference architectures, design patterns, and technical standards aligned with Arista Validated Designs (AVD) and enterprise best practices.\nArista Platforms & Multi-Vendor Networking\nServe as a technical authority for Arista EOS-based data center fabrics, while integrating with other vendors as required.\nDesign and operate network fabrics using Arista CloudVision (CVP) for centralized management, telemetry, and lifecycle operations.\nLeverage AVD to drive consistent, repeatable, and automated fabric deployments.\nEvaluate and integrate Arista solutions within a broader multi-vendor strategy to avoid lock-in while maximizing operational efficiency.\nAI, GPU & High-Performance Workload Enablement\nDesign network fabrics capable of supporting AI/ML training and inference workloads, including large-scale GPU clusters.\nOptimize east-west traffic, bandwidth, and latency for GPU fabrics and distributed compute platforms.\nSupport architectures requiring high throughput, deterministic performance, and scalable growth.\nCollaborate with compute and platform teams to align network design with AI and GPU workload requirements.\nPrivate Cloud & Hybrid Enablement\nEnable network architectures that support private cloud platforms and cloud-like self-service consumption.\nIntegrate networking into virtualization, container, and platform environments.\nSupport secure and scalable hybrid connectivity between private data centers and public cloud environments.\nEnsure designs align with segmentation, Zero Trust networking, and security best practices.\nAutomation & Infrastructure as Code\nDrive automation-first networking, minimizing manual configuration and operational risk.\nDesign and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Python, Terraform, Ansible, AVD, or similar frameworks.\nBuild reusable automation modules, pipelines, and workflows for network provisioning and lifecycle management.\nPromote declarative, version-controlled network operations across teams.\nObservability & AI-Driven Operations\nDefine and implement advanced network observability strategies, including streaming telemetry, flow data, logs, and metrics.\nUtilize Arista CloudVision telemetry and AI/ML-driven analytics platforms to detect anomalies, predict failures, and optimize performance.\nIntegrate network observability into broader SRE and platform monitoring ecosystems.\nUse data-driven insights to improve reliability, capacity planning, and incident response.\nEngineering Excellence & Collaboration\nAct as a technical authority and architectural advisor for data center networking initiatives.\nReview designs, influence standards, and mentor engineers (without direct people management).\nPartner closely with cloud, SRE, security, and application teams.\nParticipate in complex incident analysis and long-term architectural remediation.\n Minimum Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.\n8+ years of experience in data center networking or infrastructure engineering.\nPreferred Qualifications\nDeep expertise in EVPN/VXLAN-based architectures and large-scale routed fabrics.\nStrong hands-on experience with Arista EOS, CloudVision (CVP, CVaaS), and AVD.\nExperience designing networks for private cloud, AI, GPU, or high-performance computing environments.\nProven experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code (Python, Terraform, Ansible, AVD, or equivalent).\nStrong understanding of BGP, routing at scale, network segmentation, and resiliency patterns.\nExperience designing or operating GPU fabrics or AI platforms at scale.\nFamiliarity with lossless networking, RDMA, or high-bandwidth fabrics.\nExperience supporting Kubernetes, OpenShift, or cloud-native platforms.\nHands-on experience with network telemetry and AI-driven observability tools.\nExperience integrating Arista platforms within multi-vendor data center environments.\nStrong documentation and architecture-review
