Love your job.\nThe DLP Products Organization has openings for Embedded Software Engineer. In this role, you'll design and develop real-time SW to control our family of DLP Controllers. You'll write code that tells the Controller how to operate in revolutionary new ways. You will work closely with other functions like systems, applications engineering, marketing to collaborate and solve business problems. If you are passionate about embedded systems & software, this is the place to be as you get to work on a complete system that has electronics, optics and mechanics that has its applications across Industrial, Automotive and Display end equipment.\nIn addition, software engineers might work directly with customers on any issues that arise and deliver on-going support along with regular software releases, which includes quality assurance and release management activities.\nAs a Software Engineer, some of your responsibilities may include:\nRequirements definition, design, development, test, integration, and support of embedded software (e.g. operating system software, device drivers, software frameworks, algorithmic libraries etc.) and software development tools (compilers, simulators, IDEs, etc.)\nFollowing established software development methodology and practices defined for the business\nDeveloping and applying machine learning algorithms to edge applications, which may include using AI coding assistant to develop embedded software\nSupporting pre-silicon design and requirements as well as software validation activities\nImpacting hardware architecture requirements from a software usage, compatibility, performance, and reuse potential perspectives\nCreating and maintaining customer collateral for software products and deliverables\nWorking closely with TI teams (silicon, hardware, software teams) and customers as part of the normal software life-cycle\nQuality assurance and configuration/release management\n Minimum qualifications:\n2+ years industry experience in software development on embedded devices.\nBachelor’s/master’s degree in EE / ECE / CSE\nProficient in C/C++ with experience in development and deployment of applications on embedded platforms\nAdequate knowledge of hardware, read schematics and use lab equipment like scopes, logic analyzers and so on\nGood SW debugging skills. Able to identify software/hardware issues with minimal iterations\nAbility to multi-task, work independently, and take initiative to seek clarification and guidance when required\nAbility to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions including controller design, software, applications, and field teams.\nDemonstrated good analytical and problem-solving skills, and a knack for automation of repeated tasks.\nAbility to take initiative and drive for results, persistence to overcome barriers\nAdditional Preferred Qualifications:\nThe ideal candidate also has one or more of the following qualifications:\nExperience in embedded RTOS platforms\nExperience of scripting using Python\nWell versed with software development tools like Git, static code analyzer tools.\nQuality conscious and able to develop and deploy unit, system and regression tests and automation test scripts.\nExperience in using Lab equipment like Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzers, Video generators\nExperience working on Image processing and other algorithms\nExperience in using AI in day-to-day SW development to improve productivity\nExperience in developing, implementing, and verifying products involving Functional Safety (ISO26262), HARA\nExperience in Automotive ASPICE SW Development, MISRA C, Dynamic Analysis, DFMEA\nKey responsibilities:\nDesign and develop Embedded Software for DLP Controllers and associated peripherals including industrial and automotive products that may involve safety and security considerations.\nWork hand in hand with Controller, FPGA, Algorithms, tools, and applications team to define needs, influence system decisions and design the product to meet the needs.\nFollow processes defined to meet the project goals and improve on them.\nCollaborate with our Worldwide DLP team to enable the program objectives are met as per plan\nAct like an owner to everything you work on and demonstrate commitment and best outcome.\nCreates design documentation and associated application and user guides\nEnsure code coverage and adhere to code quality guidelines.\nMaintenance and support change requests on the existing SW platforms\nDebug and support co-work with Customers and Applications team as needed\nCome up with unit and system level test plans and procedures and develop test scripts\nAnalyze test results to ensure correct functionality, determine root causes of failures and recommends corrective action.\nEnsure lead and the manager is updated on the program progress, anticipated risks and other dependencies as required on a timely
