Love your job.\nTexas Instruments is expanding its global manufacturing footprint and seeks an experienced facilities Structural Engineer to join the Design & Engineering team within the Design & Construction Organization. In this Owner’s Representative role, you will partner with external engineering firms to deliver robust civil and structural designs for new wafer fabs, assembly/test facilities, and other large-scale projects (both greenfield and brownfield) across the United States and internationally. You will also provide technical support to existing sites, set engineering standards, and identify cost-saving opportunities.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign & EngineeringLead major construction design and support for concrete, steel, foundations, roofing, seismic, fire-protection, and related systems.\nConduct site planning, road layout, water-management, transportation/parking, utility routing, pipe-rack and thrust-block design, and load-bearing support analyses.\nTranslate manufacturing equipment utility demands into system-capacity analyses and space-management solutions.\nEnsure all designs comply with local building codes, permitting requirements, and TI sustainability goals.\n\nCollaboration & SupportServe as the primary liaison between TI’s operations/maintenance teams and external design firms, gathering design input and facilitating feedback.\nReview and approve submittals, respond promptly to RFIs, and verify design implementation through site visits.\nManage performance of external design firms, including scope definition, budget oversight, and schedule control.\n\nTechnical Guidance & StandardsDevelop and maintain standardized design templates and engineering standards for future projects.\nProvide technical expertise to global TI sites on structural and civil engineering matters.\nDrive technological innovation by proposing new design strategies that improve reliability, reduce cost, and accelerate construction schedules.\n\nFinancial & Project ManagementOwn the design-scope budget, track expenditures, and report cost-saving initiatives.\nPrepare and manage scope statements of work, project schedules, and deliverables.\n\nProfessional EngagementRepresent TI in internal and external technology forums and participate in the TI Technical Ladder Organization.\n\nTexas Instruments will not sponsor job applicants for visas or work authorization for this position.\n Minimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or closely related degree\n5+ years of experience in semiconductor facility design, construction, or engineering.\nPreferred Qualifications\nProven ability to manage and direct civil/structural engineering firms and contractors across diverse project types.\nSelf-motivated, independent, and high-integrity professional.\nExcellent facilitation and communication skills for interfacing with business partners, external suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams.\nDemonstrated leadership, organizational, presentation, and problem-solving abilities.\nWillingness to travel domestic and internationally as required.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and AutoCAD;
