The Route Auditor will recommend improvements in route scheduling, route design, service capabilities or other changes based on his or her findings to enhance the customer's experience.\nPRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:\nRide with assigned driver on designated commercial and/or residential routes to gather data, including but not limited to travel times, disposal volumes, service and collection times, and accuracy of the route sheet in an effort to reduce cost, improve revenue and reduce safety hazards.\nEnsure proper customer billing by checking actual container weight, container size and number of weekly pick ups; inform Sales, Customer Service and/or Accounts Receivable of discrepancies.\nIdentify opportunities for additional revenue and inform Sales and/or Customer Service.\nUtilize routing programs and data analytics to identify overlapping routes and other opportunities to reduce cost, improve safety, and compliance initiatives.\nIdentify safety hazards associated with the route and recommend changes.\nRecommend container repairs or replacements, as necessary.\nPrepare detailed reports of route audit findings; review all audit data and recommended improvements with General Manager and department managers.\nDirect communication with other departments to ensure proper ongoing service and upkeep of all units including safety devices, vehicle lighting, warning devices, fittings, safety supplies.\nEnsure a healthy and safe working environment for all workers reporting any issues immediately to your direct supervisor.\nAttain all of the necessary information regarding any issues by maintaining courteous, prompt, and efficient customer relations with customers\nPerform other job-related duties as assigned.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nExperience in a customer-facing position.\nGood time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient and safe manner.\nGood follow through ability;
