This role is responsible for designing, administering, securing, optimizing, and strategically evolving the organization's core infrastructure, enterprise applications, databases, and data platforms.\nThis position combines infrastructure engineering, database administration, and application management. The individual will serve as the organization's primary technical owner for SQL Server environments, Amazon Web Services Relational Database Service, PostgreSQL, Tableau, or other BI reporting platforms.\nThis position is highly hands-on and requires strong troubleshooting skills, project leadership, documentation discipline, and a commitment to operational excellence. Responsibilities build upon the organization's existing infrastructure engineering functions, including SQL Server support, application lifecycle management, and technology project implementation. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting organization-wide data initiatives, system performance, and technology modernization efforts.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:\nServe as the primary database administrator for Microsoft SQL Server environments.\nDesign, implement, and maintain highly available and secure database platforms.\nManage:SQL Server installations and upgrades\nPostgreSQL environments\nAmazon Web Services Relational Database Service\nGoogle Cloud Platform Databases\nDatabase patching and lifecycle management\nBackup and recovery strategies\nDisaster recovery planning\nPerformance tuning and optimization\nReplication and high-availability technologies\n\nMonitor database performance, availability, storage consumption, and growth.\nDevelop database maintenance plans and operational standards.\nImplement database security controls, auditing, encryption, and compliance requirements.\nSupport data integration, ETL processes, and application data services.\nAssist with enterprise data architecture initiatives and modernization projects.\nCollaborate with application owners and business stakeholders to improve data availability and usability.\nAdminister and support Tableau Server and Tableau environments.\nDevelop governance standards for enterprise reporting and analytics.\nSupport Tableau or other BI data sources, dashboards, extracts, and integrations.\nCoordinate vendor relationships, support escalations, and software upgrades.\nMonitor application performance, availability, and system health.\nTroubleshoot application and database-related issues.\nMaintain application architecture documentation and support procedures.\nDocument solution designs, architecture diagrams, and operational guides.\nProvide application and security guidance and management of critical platforms to business stakeholders\nAct as 3rd-level support and troubleshooting for business and baseball systems.\nWork closely with the organization's cybersecurity consultants to maintain secure technology platforms.\nEnsure compliance with security policies, governance standards, and regulatory requirements.\nSupport vulnerability remediation efforts.\nParticipate in risk assessments and security reviews.\nAssist with incident response investigations involving identity, data, or applications.\nImplement monitoring and auditing controls across infrastructure and data platforms.\nOther duties as assigned.\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nAssociate's or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field preferred.\nThree (3) years of experience in database administration, infrastructure administration, application support, or a related technical discipline required.\nExperience with:Microsoft SQL Server\nDatabase performance tuning and optimization\nTableau Server Tableau Cloud or other BI platforms\n\nKnowledge of database administration, performance tuning, and security.\nExcellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.\nStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.\nKnowledge of ITIL processes and enterprise IT operations.\nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
