This role is responsible for the design, administration, security, optimization, and strategic evolution of the organization's core infrastructure, identity services, enterprise applications, databases, and data platforms.\nThis position combines infrastructure engineering, database administration, application management, and data platform engineering. The individual will serve as the organization's primary technical owner for SQL Server environments, Amazon Web Services Relational Database Service, PostgreSQL, Tableau reporting platforms, and, secondarily, application integrations, data governance, and business-critical systems.\nThis position is highly hands-on and requires strong troubleshooting skills, project leadership, documentation discipline, and a commitment to operational excellence. Responsibilities build upon the organization's existing infrastructure engineering functions, including SQL Server support, application lifecycle management, and technology project implementation.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:\nServe as the primary database administrator for Microsoft SQL Server environments. Design, implement, and maintain highly available and secure database platforms.\n\nManage:\nSQL Server installations and upgrades\n\nPostgreSQL\n\nAmazon Web Services Relational Database Service\n\nGoogle Cloud Platform Databases\n\nDatabase patching and lifecycle management\n\nBackup and recovery strategies\n\nDisaster recovery planning\n\nPerformance tuning and optimization\n\nReplication and high-availability technologies\n\nMonitor database performance, availability, storage consumption, and growth.\n\nDevelop database maintenance plans and operational standards.\n\nImplement database security controls, auditing, encryption, and compliance requirements.\n\nSupport data integration, ETL processes, and application data services.\n\nAssist with enterprise data architecture initiatives and modernization projects.\n\nCollaborate with application owners and business stakeholders to improve data availability and usability.\n\nAdminister and support Tableau Server and Tableau environments.\n\nDevelop governance standards for enterprise reporting and analytics.\n\nSupport Tableau data sources, dashboards, extracts, and integrations.\n\nServe as technical owner for assigned enterprise applications.\n\nManage application infrastructure, integrations, and backend systems.\n\nCoordinate vendor relationships, support escalations, and software upgrades.\n\nMonitor application performance, availability, and system health.\n\nMaintain application authentication and identity integrations.\n\nTroubleshoot application and database-related issues.\n\nMaintain application architecture documentation and support procedures.\n\nDocument solution designs, architecture diagrams, and operational guides.\n\nGuide customers and internal teams in implementing secure, scalable, and cost-efficient solutions\n\nProvide application and security guidance and management of critical platforms to business stakeholders\n\nAct as 3rd-level support and troubleshooting for business and baseball systems\n\nDesign end-to-end cloud-based solutions leveraging SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS technologies.\n\nAdminister and maintain Windows Server environments.\n\nAdminister and maintain VMware or other virtual environments\n\nManage:\nFile Services\n\nVMware ESXi / vCenter\n\nDevelop infrastructure standards, diagrams, and technical documentation.\n\nParticipate in infrastructure modernization and technology refresh initiatives.\n\nWork closely with the organization's cybersecurity consultants to maintain secure technology platforms.\n\nEnsure compliance with security policies, governance standards, and regulatory requirements.\n\nSupport vulnerability remediation efforts.\n\nParticipate in risk assessments and security reviews.\n\nAssist with incident response investigations involving identity, data, or applications.\n\nImplement monitoring and auditing controls across infrastructure and data platforms.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nAssociate's degree or higher in a related technical field.\n\n3-5 years of related experience required.\n\nExperience with:\nSQL Server\n\nWindows Server\n\nFile Services\n\nVMware or Hyper-V virtualized infrastructure\n\nPerformance tuning and optimization\n\nTableau Server or Tableau Cloud\n\nStrong knowledge of database administration, performance tuning, and security.\n\nExcellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.\n\nStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.\n\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.\n\nKnowledge of ITIL processes and enterprise IT operations.\n\nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
