This role provides strategic direction, enhances the enrollment process, and ensures the success of prospective and current students from application to graduation. The Assistant Director of Admissions & Enrollment upholds TSTC’s core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service, and Integrity while fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Campus Enrollment, this role is pivotal in meeting enrollment targets, optimizing processes, and supporting student success.Hiring Range is $57,542.40 - $63,296.64 USD Annual.\nThe final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.\nAn equivalent combination of education, training and relevant professional experience will be considered.Essential Functions:\nCore Values Demonstration:\nConsistently embody TSTC Core Values (Excellence, Accountability, Service, and Integrity) when interacting with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students, and the community.\nLeadership and Supervision:\nSupervise, coach, and mentor Admissions Advisors and Enrollment Coaches to enhance their performance and effectiveness.\nImplement standardized admissions processes and practices to ensure quality of service and monitor performance metrics and their effects on enrollment numbers.\nStrategic Enrollment Management:\nAssist in setting and monitoring new student and persistence enrollment goals.\nFlex staff resources to meet enrollment targets and address barriers to enrollment at both the campus and statewide levels.\nCollaboration and Outreach:\nCollaborate with internal departments (Admissions, Veteran Services, Financial Aid, Registrar's Office, Operations, and Student Services) to provide enhanced support to students and monitor progress.\nPlan and oversee enrollment initiatives, regional events, and ambassador programs to increase college visibility and attract a diverse student body.\nStudent Support and Advisory Role:\nManage a student caseload, addressing complex questions and troubleshooting needs related to enrollment, financial aid, and overall student progression.\nGuide students through the admissions process, ensuring all requirements are met.\nTechnology Leadership:\nProvide leadership in the utilization of various software programs to review eligibility requirements, track financial aid status, and monitor academic progress.\nUtilize online platforms and software to maintain student records, track activity, and generate reports on monthly engagement targets and semester admissions objectives.\nRegulatory Oversight and Compliance:\nStay abreast of FAFSA, FERPA, and relevant federal and state regulations governing student rights and information.\nProactively review changes to enrollment management policies and best practices, providing guidance to the team.\nTraining and Staff Development:\nCollaborate with the Enrollment team to identify and develop staff training needs.\nCoordinate training and staff development, including professional development, compliance, and college mandatory training.\nData Management and Reporting:\nMaintain accurate records of all interactions, applications, and enrollments.\nUse data to prepare reports on recruitment activities and their effectiveness, adjusting strategies as needed.\nCommunity Engagement:\nVisit various community locations, including high schools, to attend events, represent, and promote TSTC.\nProvide information related to TSTC programs and applications.\nCompetencies:\nLeadership and Supervision: Proficiency in supervising, coaching, and mentoring staff\nEnrollment Strategy: Skills in setting and monitoring enrollment goals and addressing barriers\nCollaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with various departments to support students\nStudent Support: Proficiency in managing student caseloads and providing advisory support\nTechnology Utilization: Expertise in using software programs for tracking and reporting\nRegulatory Compliance: Understanding of FAFSA, FERPA, and relevant regulations\nTraining and Development: Skills in identifying training needs and coordinating staff development\nData Management: Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare data-driven reports\nCommunity Engagement: Skills in representing and promoting the college at community eventsEducation/Experience/Knowledge/Skills\nBachelor's Degree\nExceptional experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements\n• 3 years experience in enrollment, admissions, sales, or a related field\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nTexas State Technical College (TSTC), as an equal opportunity employer, complies with all applicable federal and state laws regarding nondiscrimination.
