Our products are used worldwide in aerospace, medical, chemical processing, power generation, and other demanding industries where quality and reliability matter.\nAt TCI, you'll join a stable, growing manufacturing company that invests in modern equipment, employee development, continuous improvement, and product innovation.\nWhat You'll Do\nThe Process Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and implementing cost-effective manufacturing processes that consistently meet product specifications, quality standards, and business objectives. Serving as a key liaison between R&D, Engineering, and Operations, this role drives the advancement of PTFE-coated fabric processes while supporting new product introduction and continuous improvement initiatives. Working directly within the plant environment, the Process Engineer identifies opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and process capability, reduce waste, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. This role plays a critical part in advancing operational excellence and supporting the company’s continued growth.\nYour responsibilities will include:\n· Optimize PTFE coating processes, troubleshoot material behavior, and reduce scrap.\n· Improve throughput, product quality, quality, and labor and material costs\n· Develop and troubleshoot manufacturing processes, tooling, materials and processes into manufacturing.\n· Improve workflow and work cell efficiency using Lean manufacturing principles.\n· Develop process controls, inspections, testing, and validation methods to ensure product quality.\n· Investigate customer issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.\n· Provide production testing, labor estimates, and mater usage data to support cost analysis.\n· Develop and maintain SOP’s, Work instructions, and process documentation.\n· Train operators and manufacturing staff on processes, product requirements, and safe equipment operation.\n· Maintain product specifications and ensure production documentation is accurate and current.\n· Maintain ERP data, including part numbers, routings, bills of materials, and production standards.\nRequirements\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Materials, Polymer, or Manufacturing Engineering.\n2-5 years of manufacturing or engineering experience preferred; internships, co-ops, and project experience considered.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.\nUnderstanding of Lean manufacturing principles; coursework or project experience accepted.\nFamiliarity with ERP systems; M1experience is a plus.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nAdditional Qualifications\nSix Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.\nExperience with Excel coding or advanced Excel functions.\nExperience with fluoropolymers, dip coating, calendaring, or flexible composites.\nStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.\nComfortable working in a manufacturing environment.\nExperience with product design and design for manufacturability (DFM) \nBenefits\nTCI offers a competitive benefits package, including:\nMedical Insurance\nDental Insurance\n401(k)\nCompany 401(k) Match\nLife Insurance\nAccidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance\nShort-Term Disability\nLong-Term Disability\nPaid Time Off\nPaid Holidays\nIf you're looking for a stable manufacturing career with opportunities to learn new skills, work with advanced materials, and grow with an industry leader, we'd like to hear from you.\nNo recruiters or staffing agencies, please.\nThis job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
