The Project Manager will own a subset of a major defense program, under the supervisor of a Sr. Program Manager, and work within a highly collaborative and dynamic Program Office.\nThis role requires excellent organization, teamwork, and communication skills to ensure program execution that meets mission objectives. A successful candidate in this role will be action-oriented, have strong written and verbal communication, and exhibit a team mentality.\nResponsibilities:\nThe Project Manager will have responsibilities including but not limited to the following:\nManaging the financial, technical, and schedule requirements of program components to deliver products that are technically acceptable on-time and in a cost-effective manner.\n\nUnderstanding the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and critical path for a subset of the program and executing any mitigation efforts to ensure on-time / early completion of tasking.\n\nSupporting Control Account Managers (CAMs) in execution to a baseline budget - ensuring accurate Estimates to Complete and robust variance reporting from all CAMs supporting a subset of the program.\n\nInterfacing with critical suppliers and Textron Systems’ internal Procurement organization to communicate program updates / changes to and from the supplier.\n\nWorking creatively to solve customer problems and communicating program progress both internally and externally.\n\nAssisting with proposal generation and submittal to the customer.\n\nWho We Are\nTextron Systems is part of Textron, a $14 billion, multi-industry company employing 35,000 talented makers, thinkers, creators and doers worldwide. Qualified applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for a Secret clearance.\n\nDesired Skills:\n5+ years of experience in formal project or program management roles.\n\nUnderstanding of Earned Value Management principles.\n\nUnderstanding of principles associated with Risks and Opportunities.\n\nProposal development experience.\n\nDemonstrated ability to work with Supply Chain and the supply base.\n\nPMP Certification or equivalent.\n\nPrior US military or defense / aerospace industry experience.\n\nHow We Care\nAt Textron Systems, our talented people make us successful.
