Waterfront. Freshly Transformed. Your Chance to Make Your Mark.\nRole at a glance\nLocation: King Street Wharf, Darling Harbour, Sydney NSW\nEmployment: Full-time, permanent\nReports to: Area General Manager\nProperty: 114-key boutique hotel\nDining: Shoreline Kitchen, an 80-seat waterfront restaurant and bar\nFacilities: Pool, gym and conference rooms\nTeam: Approximately 50, with 6 direct reports\nSupport: TFE Hotels central service model\nAdina Hotel Darling Harbour has just completed its transformation, and we're looking for a driven, dynamic General Manager to build performance in a fresh environment. If you lead with attitude, love the buzz of a busy restaurant and bar, and want a hotel small enough to know every guest and team member by name, this is your opportunity.\nThe Opportunity\nThis is not a 'maintain the status quo' role. You'll own the hotel's performance end to end – Rooms, Food & Beverage and Guest Services – with no layers of management between you and the results.\nShoreline Kitchen sits at the heart of the opportunity. You'll shape its identity, drive activations and partnerships, and make it a Darling Harbour destination for locals and guests alike.\nWith TFE Hotels' central service model taking care of much of the back-of-house administration, you'll be free to focus on what really counts: guest service, Food & Beverage sales and marketing, and the commercial levers that directly impact results.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nBuilding hotel performance in a newly refreshed environment, setting clear goals and delivering against them.\nCreating a warm, personalised boutique service culture that guests notice and teams are proud of.\nDriving Food & Beverage sales and marketing, including activations, events and local partnerships.\nOwning the direct-impact commercials – revenue, F&B sales, labour and cost control – with budgeting and forecasting support from the central team.\nBuilding strong relationships with stakeholders and the local business community.\nRecruiting, developing and inspiring a motivated team through visible, hands-on leadership.\nAbout You\nAttitude is everything. You're driven, positive and ambitious, you lead from the front, and you love the hands-on, close-knit nature of a boutique hotel.\nEssential:\nExperience as a General Manager, or an accomplished Hotel Manager ready for the step up, within a quality hotel environment.\nA strong Food & Beverage background, with a track record of driving restaurant and bar performance.\nSharp commercial acumen and a proven track record of lifting hotel or venue performance.\nA passion for personalised service and building a guest-first culture.\nA dynamic, hands-on and highly visible leadership style, with strong communication and stakeholder skills.\nUnderstanding of WHS, food safety and hotel compliance requirements.\nFull, unrestricted Australian working rights (sponsorship is not available for this position).\nDesirable:\nBoutique or lifestyle hotel experience.\nPre-opening or repositioning experience.\nA tertiary qualification in hospitality or business.\nKnowledge of the Sydney hospitality market.\nWhy Join TFE Hotels?\nLead a boutique waterfront hotel with a brand-new restaurant and bar, where your impact is felt every day.\nEnjoy genuine autonomy with the backing of a market-leading hospitality group.\nGrow your career across TFE Hotels' expanding international portfolio.\nReady to lead something new?
