This role leads and supervises the finance team, manages day-to-day accounting operations, ensures compliance with corporate policies and UAE accounting standards, and provides strategic financial analysis to support operational efficiency, effective cost control, and revenue optimization.\nFinancial Operations & Accounting\nOversee the accurate recording and processing of all financial transactions in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.\n\nReview and authorize all journal vouchers prior to posting.\n\nEnsure all balance sheet accounts are accurately reconciled, reviewed, and signed off by the 15th of each month.\n\nVerify the accuracy of guest ledger, deposit ledger, and city ledger balances.\n\nControl and reconcile house fund receipts and general ledger balances.\n\nMonitor unclaimed wages and salaries and ensure timely follow-up.\n\nMaintain and update insurance registers, prepaid expenses, deferred charges, and deferred income schedules.\n\nVerify daily banking transactions and complete timely bank reconciliations.\n\nAssist the Cluster Financial Controller with month-end Profit & Loss reporting, forecasting, and annual budgeting.\n\nInternal Controls & Compliance\nEstablish and maintain effective internal controls and audit procedures to safeguard hotel assets and revenues.\n\nEnsure compliance with UAE laws, tax regulations, and corporate accounting policies.\n\nOversee the month-end closing process and ensure timely submission of financial reports.\n\nEnsure all hotel licenses, permits, and insurance policies are valid, renewed on time, and properly recorded.\n\nCommunication & Collaboration\nMaintain effective communication with all finance team members and other departments.\n\nParticipate actively in Hotel Management, Heads of Department, and departmental meetings.\n\nProvide timely updates to the Cluster Financial Controller and General Manager on financial issues, irregularities, and operational risks.\n\nCoordinate with internal and external auditors, ensuring complete documentation and resolution of audit findings.\n\nOperational Responsibilities\nEnsure smooth and efficient operation of the finance department through effective organization and administration.\n\nMaintain a professional, clean, and well-organized work environment.\n\nDemonstrate flexibility in working hours to support uninterrupted hotel operations.\n\nPeople Management & Additional Responsibilities\nPrepare departmental expense budgets and monitor performance against approved budgets.\n\nEnsure payroll processing, leave management, public holidays, and lieu days are accurately handled and submitted on time.\n\nMentor, train, and develop finance team members to enhance performance and career growth.\n\nEnsure all direct reports have clear, actionable personal development plans aligned with departmental objectives.\n\nDesired Skill & Expertise\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\nSound knowledge of hotel applications-SUN;
