A Stay Exactly Like Nothing Else.\nJob Description\nThe Finance Supervisor is responsible for supervising the day-to-day financial operations within the hotel, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and the effective management of financial transactions. This role supports the Financial Controller in managing financial records, preparing reports, and providing financial analysis to optimize hotel performance.\nKey Responsibilities:\nOversee and supervise daily accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.\nEnsure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with hotel policies and accounting standards.\nManage cash flow and ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.\nPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.\nAssist in the preparation of monthly and annual budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to provide insights for decision-making.\nAnalyze financial data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and operational efficiencies.\nEnsure compliance with local tax laws, accounting regulations, and hotel financial policies.\nConduct account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.\nSupport internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.\nSupervise and train junior finance staff, ensuring adherence to procedures and best practices.\nProvide guidance on financial procedures and resolve any accounting-related issues.\nMonitor and manage the hotel’s cash flow, ensuring sufficient funds are available for daily operations.\nOversee cash handling processes and ensure that cash deposits are conducted in a timely and accurate manner.\nAssist the Financial Controller with special projects, financial analysis, and system improvements.\nContribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.\nDesired Skill & Expertise\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.\nProfessional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are a plus.\nMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in the hospitality industry.\nStrong experience with accounting software (e.g., Opera, SunSystems) and Microsoft Excel.\nExcellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all departments.\nKnowledge of local tax laws and compliance
