Beyond management, The First Group Hospitality develops and operates a dynamic portfolio of upscale hotels, residences, and award-winning restaurants, creating high-value hospitality assets that stand out in the market.\nFor more information, visit tfghospitality.com\nJob Description\nThe Kitchen Technician is responsible for maintaining, servicing, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of kitchen equipment and related technical systems within an exclusive luxury destination.\nThe role works closely with the Food and Beverage and culinary teams to support reliable daily operations, minimize equipment downtime, and maintain high standards of safety, hygiene, functionality, and presentation.\nKey Responsibilities\nInspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair kitchen equipment and related systems.\nSupport the operation and maintenance of ovens, ranges, grills, fryers, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, exhaust systems, food preparation equipment, and other kitchen appliances.\nCarry out preventive and corrective maintenance according to approved schedules.\nRespond promptly to equipment breakdowns, technical issues, and urgent maintenance requests.\nDiagnose faults and complete repairs safely, efficiently, and to the required standard.\nCoordinate with the Food and Beverage and culinary teams to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption to operations.\nConduct regular inspections of food production areas, storage areas, service areas, equipment, and utility connections.\nCheck electrical, plumbing, gas, ventilation, drainage, refrigeration, and temperature-control systems related to kitchen operations.\nEnsure equipment is installed, operated, and maintained in accordance with manufacturer instructions and safety requirements.\nMaintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, work orders, equipment history, and replacement requirements.\nReport recurring defects, potential risks, and equipment-replacement needs to the Maintenance Manager.\nMaintain an appropriate stock of tools, spare parts, and technical materials.\nCoordinate with approved contractors and suppliers when specialist support is required.\nAssist with equipment installations, upgrades, replacements, and improvement projects.\nSupport compliance with health, safety, fire, food-safety, hygiene, and environmental requirements.\nEnsure work areas are kept clean, safe, and organized after maintenance activities.\nFollow lockout/tagout procedures and other safe-working practices where applicable.\nMaintain confidentiality regarding organizational operations, facilities, and technical systems.\nAttend team briefings, training sessions, safety meetings, and inspections.\nPerform other reasonable duties assigned by the Maintenance Manager or management.\nDesired Skill & Expertise\nTechnical diploma, vocational qualification, or equivalent experience in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration, Plumbing, HVAC, or a related field.\nPrevious experience maintaining commercial or professional kitchen equipment is preferred.\nWorking knowledge of electrical systems, refrigeration, gas systems, plumbing, ventilation, and mechanical equipment.\nAbility to read basic technical manuals, equipment specifications, and service instructions.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nKnowledge of workplace safety, fire-safety, hygiene, and food-safety requirements.\nAbility to work flexible hours, weekends, public holidays, and respond to urgent technical issues when required.\nRelevant technical licenses or certifications are an advantage.\nGood communication and teamwork skills.\nFluency in English is required;
