At times this can be a very physically demanding position. This position will work around and on rotating equipment and facilities with high pressure.\nRequirements\nDiagnose engine/compressor failures accurately and efficiently, initially under the guidance of a trained Mechanic.\nComplete accurate and timely rebuilds/overhauls of compressors, engines and controls on gas compressor packages in the field in adverse conditions.\nResponsible for accurately completing basic engine tuning functions to adjust engine performance and emissions on multiple major OEM’s. (CAT/Waukesha)\nPerform mechanical inspection using micrometers, pressure gauges, electronic diagnostic equipment, and other specialty tools.\nAssist with the installation of new units including commissioning and start-up inspections as directed.\nComplete and submit accurate field service reports, expense reports, timesheets, and other necessary paperwork as required in a timely manner.\nResponsible for performance of the job activities in a manner consistent with the project goals and objectives.\nPosition includes call-out responsibilities often with little notice, including nights, weekends, and holidays.\nFollow all company Health, Safety and Environmental rules and policies that are applicable to each location.\nPerform other duties as assigned by management. \nRepresent the company professionally while interacting with customers, coworkers, and vendors. \nPerform all duties required for which the employee is qualified and trained.\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma required.\nVocational, technical, or trade school training in mechanics, industrial maintenance, diesel technology, or a related field a plus.\nMechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.\nEntry-level experience working with engines, compressors, generators, or industrial equipment preferred. \nFamiliarity with small engine packages such as Arrow, Vortec, or Cummins a plus.\nMust be able to be on a call-out rotation and effectively make emergency repairs.\nGoal driven/forward thinking\nCompetency with Microsoft Office programs\nAbility to work in varied weather conditions and perform physically demanding work. \nStrong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety. \nAbility to follow written and verbal instructions. \nValid driver's license and acceptable driving record. \nPhysical Demands and Exposures\nWork is regularly performed in outside weather conditions, including rain and extreme cold and heat, near moving mechanical parts;
