Its current Controller is retiring and the company is hiring a successor. This is an onsite role with a planned, gradual handoff. The retiring Controller will keep payroll, wire transfers and certain banking functions at first. These will move to you as you learn the business and he or she is comfortable handing them off. You will be a key financial partner to the CFO, CEO and project executives.\nWhat You’ll Do\nOversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including consolidated reporting across multiple entities and joint ventures\nManage project accounting: job costing, percentage-of-completion revenue recognition, WIP schedules and project profitability\nOversee budgeting, forecasting and financial planning at both the project and company level\nOversee AP, AR, cash management and banking relationships\nManage the general ledger, month-end and year-end close, and reconciliations\nManage external audits, tax filings and lender reporting\nDevelop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies\nDeliver financial reporting and analysis to the CFO, CEO and project executives, including variance analysis, cash-flow forecasting and KPIs\nSupervise and mentor the accounting team\nSupport due diligence on new project acquisitions, joint ventures and financing transactions\nHelp implement and optimize accounting systems and processes\nSupport the development arm (about 2% of your time): opening accounts and handling the accounting for partnerships.
