TGS

Headquartered in Oslo, Norway, TGS is a leading global provider of energy data, subsurface intelligence, and geophysical solutions. The company maintains an extensive multi-client library of seismic and well data alongside advanced subsurface imaging technologies to support exploration across the energy sector. By leveraging high-performance computing and geoscience analytics, it helps energy organizations make informed decisions for both traditional exploration and emerging renewable energy projects.

Are you the event marketer who loves owning an event all the way through, from the idea on the whiteboard to the last handshake on the floor? Most event roles only let you take it so far. The campaign goes to one team, the production goes to another, and you watch the vision get watered-down to an experience that falls short of its potential.

If you've ever wanted a role that lets you build experiences people won't shut up about, this is it.

You'll take the lead on TransPerfectNEXT, our invite-only series of flagship conferences and regional roadshows across the USA, EMEA, and APAC. NEXT brings together leaders in technology, localization, and global business for product spotlights, client stories, and keynotes that people talk about long after they fly home.

This is a new role inside one of the biggest B2B event programs in our industry, and it's yours to shape. You'll own the narrative, the campaign, the audience, the venue, the vendors, the budget, and the on-site call. You'll have our in-house web, digital, and design agencies and a talented event marketing team behind you, so your ambition doesn't stall on bandwidth.

What you won't get is a role where someone else decides how the story ends.

Day to day, you'll:

  • Work with executive leadership to shape the narrative for each event, then adapt it so it lands in every region with the cultural nuance each one needs

  • Plan and launch multi-channel attendance campaigns across email, paid media, social, web, and partner marketing with the Digital Marketing team, localized alongside regional marketing and sales

  • Partner with internal teams and external speakers on promotional content, session previews, attendee engagement, and post-event assets that keep the conversation going

  • Build production timelines, run-of-show documents, and cross-functional plans

  • Oversee the event tech stack: registration platforms, event apps, lead capture, and virtual/hybrid technology

  • Own the budgets, track registrations, engagement, and ROI by region, run the debriefs, and turn every event's lessons into a sharper next one

In conjunction with our global events team, you’ll:

  • Source venues and negotiate contracts; direct A/V, caterers, designers, swag, signage, and local suppliers so everything lands on time, on budget, and on brand

  • Run each event on-site: setup, registration, session transitions, sponsor areas, and the real-time problem-solving no plan can fully anticipate

  • Own speaker onboarding, travel, briefings, and rehearsals, plus the VIP experience for senior guests and leadership

You'll collaborate constantly with Leadership, Marketing, Sales, Client Services, and Creative, but the events are yours: the strategy, the execution, and the results.

Your directive? Create events people want to be at, and make sure the right people are there.

Requirements

What matters most

The must-have is proof you've done both halves: the marketing that drives attendance and the production that delivers the experience, for large-scale, international B2B events. We want to hear about events you led, campaigns you built, and rooms you filled. Not just logistics. Not just promotion. Not just a seat on the planning committee. You need a blend of it all, with your name on the outcome.

The measurables

  • 7+ years in B2B event marketing, ideally in enterprise technology, SaaS, or global services

  • Experience leading regionalized marketing campaigns for large-scale, international events

  • A track record of running multiple events and stakeholder groups at once, across time zones and cultures

  • Confident owning budgets, vendor relationships, and venue negotiations

  • Comfortable in the data (registrations, engagement, and ROI) and using it to sharpen the next campaign

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management; equally at home with executive leadership, keynote speakers, and local suppliers

  • Highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented

  • Proactive and service-minded, with the instinct to go the extra mile

  • Happy to travel internationally (around 15%)

Nice to have: hands-on experience with event registration platforms, mobile event apps, lead capture, and virtual/hybrid event technology. Familiarity with the localization, language technology, or global services space.

This job isn't for everyone

Years of event experience won't qualify you for this on their own. It's a unique role that needs someone just as happy writing the campaign plan months out as calming a nervous keynote speaker five minutes before they go on. You'll have great support around you, but you'll build the strategy, the audience, and the experience yourself rather than handing the hard parts to someone else. From first invite to final debrief, these events will be yours. Do it well and the results will show in every registration count and every full room, and the credit will be obvious.

Applicants should be ready to share examples of events and campaigns they've led and are proud of.
