This role is a rare chance for a highly motivated individual to take on a role that has excellent career progression opportunities within Thales.\nBenefits of the programme:\nEarn while you learn with a competitive salary\nGain hands-on, job-specific training and real-world experience\nAchieve a recognised professional qualification\nSecure a permanent role from day one\nHave your tuition fees fully paid\nBuild valuable experience and develop your career in Finance\nWork in a high-profile role where you can make a real impact from the start\nLearn from experienced professionals and develop skills that will support your long-term career growth\nAbout the Role\nAs a Finance Apprentice, you'll support a variety of finance activities across the business while gaining hands-on experience in a professional environment.\nYour responsibilities may include:\nSupporting finance teams with day-to-day tasks and projects.\nHelping resolve timesheet and labour booking queries.\nSupporting the preparation and distribution of monthly financial reports.\nAssisting with cost, overhead and headcount reporting.\nSupporting budget planning, forecasting and reforecasting activities.\nAssisting with cost centre reviews and management reporting.\nHelping maintain accurate financial records and reconciliations.\nSupporting project finance activities, including cost transfers and project closures.\nAssisting with financial journals, accruals, prepayments and corrections.\nSupporting ad hoc finance projects and business activities as required.\nProducing reports and carrying out data analysis.\nCompleting other finance-related tasks as required.\nWhat You Will Learn\nDuring the apprenticeship, you'll develop a strong understanding of finance processes, systems, and business operations.\nYou will learn:\nFinancial reporting and analysis\nBudgeting and forecasting processes\nCost management and overhead reporting\nBalance sheet reconciliations and financial controls\nCash flow forecasting and invoice management\nUsing business finance systems and reporting tools\nUnderstanding how finance supports business performance and decision-making\nWorking with stakeholders across different areas of the organisation\nInterpreting and presenting financial data to management\nPlanning, organisation and problem-solving within a professional finance environment\nThis apprenticeship will provide a strong foundation in finance while helping you build the skills and experience needed for a successful career in the industry.\nApprenticeship Programme\nAs part of this apprenticeship, you will:\nStudy towards a Level 2 Accounts Assistant Apprenticeship (12 months), followed by a Level 3 Assistant Accountant (15 months)\nComplete your training with The Apprentice Academy, our lead training provider\nLearn through a virtual training programme\nGain knowledge and skills in everyday accounting and finance activities\nDevelop the confidence and competence to carry out finance tasks successfully\nAchieve an AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting and a Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting upon successful completion\nPlease note that you will need to pass the Level 2 apprenticeship before being able to progress onto the Level 3.
