We share what we know and we challenge what’s possible.\nFrom manufacturing and engineering to cybersecurity and space, we’re driving progress in some of the world’s most important industries - and working together to build a future we can all trust.\nThe ADATS Technical Training Manager will provide support to all aspects of training, assessment, development and delivery on ADATS (Australian Defence Air Traffic System) and will support the ADATS Though Life Support activities.\nBENEFITS @ THALES\nCompetitive remuneration + Bonus + Health insurance\n\nFree medical health insurance for you and your family\n\nThalesFlex - flexibility working is our everyday\n\nFitness Passport Discount\n\nEmployee discounts with a number of affiliates (Travel, Car hire, Tech)\n\nModernised Paid Parental Leave\n\nNovated Lease options\n\nKEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nThe ADATS Training Instructor will be responsible to:\nundertake and/or assist in the development of training and assessment material, when required\nlead the delivery of ADATS training and assessment events\nsupervise, coordinate, mentor and monitor the performance of trainees undertaking training\nundertake and/or assist in the development or conduct of training evaluation and validation activities\nundertake and/or assist in the development or conduct of training needs analysis activities\nprovide an equitable and accessible training and assessment environment for all training customers and participants\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE\nCertificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40122) or equivalent\nAdvanced Certificate in Electronics or equivalent\nvocational experience as a ADF Training Instructor; or\nvocational experience in the Training Instructor for RAN/RNZN/RNZAF/RN/RAF roles.\ndemonstrated strong experience in the Air Traffic Management technical domain.\nPrimary and Secondary Ground RADAR knowledge and / experience\nUNIX based Data Processing and Display computer system knowledge and experience\nGOOD TO KNOW\nPrior to being offered employment, you will need to complete pre-employment police and (role dependent) medical checks. A Defence security clearance is required for this role; applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.\nAdditional information with regards to clearances is available from the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency website http://www.defence.gov.au/AGSVA/. In some cases, individuals who hold a current clearance from a foreign government may be eligible to have this clearance recognised by the Australian Government and be eligible for this role.\nThe Australian Defence Trade Controls Act (DTCA) is applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
