Based in Woolloomooloo, you will undertake bid and project management activities in the Above Water Systems business portfolio with a focus on supporting the bid team in ensuring the project objectives are achieved. You’ll take ownership of bids from start to finish - coordinating teams, shaping strategy, and turning complex requirements into clear, competitive proposals.\nResponsibilities will include:\nLead and manage bids in line with Thales processes and business goals.\nWork side-by-side with Capture Managers to make sure win themes and value propositions are carried through every part of the submission.\nCoordinate cross-functional teams to produce high-quality, compliant and compelling tenders.\nManage estimates and costings to meet “price-to-win” targets.\nEngage with stakeholders across engineering, commercial, legal, and finance to bring everything together on time.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and suppliers.\nPrepare and present bid reviews, ensuring governance and reporting requirements are met.\nSupport and mentor junior bid managers as part of a collaborative bid community.\nAbout You:\nA degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management or similar.\nAPMP or IPMA certification (or the motivation to get it).\nExperience managing bids or tenders involving multiple partners or subcontractors.\nStrong leadership and communication skills - you’re comfortable bringing people together and getting things done.\nExperience working within a complex organisation or matrix structure.\nA focus on customers and the ability to manage relationships with professionalism and integrity.\nDesired:\nExperience working within Defence or on ASDEFCON-based projects.\nExposure to the maritime domain or naval programs.\nWe Encourage You To Apply\nAfter you have applied, you will receive an email acknowledging your application.\nWe’ll then provide a personalised experience for suitable applicants as we progress the selection and assessment process.\nIt’s easy to dismiss the perfect opportunity if you don’t see yourself as the perfect fit.
