We are looking for a Sales Engineer who thrives at the intersection of deep technical expertise and strategic business thinking - someone who can translate complex challenges into elegant, high-impact solutions.
About the Role
As a Sales Engineer for our Cloud Protection & Licensing (CPL) portfolio, you will serve as the trusted technical advisor for our account teams and customers across LATAM. From the earliest stages of discovery through proof-of-value, you will design tailored architectures, lead compelling demonstrations, and position Thales’s solutions as the clear answer to our customers' most pressing application security and data protection challenges.
This is a role for someone who is equally comfortable in a boardroom and a technical deep-dive - someone who builds credibility fast and turns complex concepts into clear business value.
What You'll Do
- Lead the technical sales cycle - Own discovery, RFP/RFI responses, solution design, product demos, and proof-of-value engagements from start to finish.
- Communicate with impact - Translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-focused narratives tailored for both technical audiences and C-suite stakeholders.
- Build lasting relationships - Develop trusted partnerships with engineering teams, IT leaders, and executive decision-makers across customer organizations.
- Design tailored solutions - Architect customized approaches that directly address each customer's unique security and compliance challenges.
- Collaborate cross-functionally - Partner closely with Product, Business Development, and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless solution delivery and an outstanding customer experience.
- Stay ahead of the industry - Continuously monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to keep Thales’s solutions positioned at the cutting edge.
What We're Looking For
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in pre-sales roles within cybersecurity, enterprise software, networking, or security.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with WAF, Bot Management, or DDoS solutions.
- Strong communication and presentation skills in both English (B2+) and Spanish.
- Practical experience with cloud and containerization platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Knowledge of Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), Web Application Security, or Security/Cloud/Networking certifications.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as PCI, SOX, and HIPAA.
Position Details
Hybrid Position - Bogotá, Colombia.
Frequent international travel within Colombia & LATAM required.
Colombian citizenship, residency or valid work permit required.
