Together, we’re shaping the future by enabling customers to make pivotal decisions that safeguard communities and power progress.As a Data Engineer, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team.\nUnder the supervision of the Head of PMO, you will bring your expertise and cooperate closely with the other members of the Regional Company: Partnership coordinator, Legal Director, Legal Counsels, Partnership Managers, COO, CCO and CFO.\nYou will also be required to interact directly with internal stakeholders based in France, Europe and the ASIA region.\nResponsibilities \n\nDesign, Develop and Optimize Data Pipelines: Maintain and develop our current data pipelines using Knime, Power Query and SQL.\nManage Databases: Oversee the organization’s databases, ensuring they are optimized for performance and security and coordinate with the various database owners.\nData Integration: propose the integration of new data management technologies and software engineering tools to optimize the operational process of the department.\nData Quality Assurance: Collaborate with all the data owners to implement processes that ensure data reliability, efficiency, and quality, including data cleaning and validation. Implement and maintain a robust Row-Level Security.\nCollaboration:\nWork closely with all the department stakeholders (Operation, Legal and Finance) to understand their data needs and provide the necessary support for data-driven decision-making\nCoordinate with peers based in Dubai and Madrid to benchmark, support and deploy BI solutions.\nCoordinate data collection from the ASIAN region Key Account managers to centralize and report to Thales Operating Units\nundefined\nData Organization and Information Communication:\nCreate and maintain our current dynamic data report on Power BI.\nPropose evolutions or new data reports to support evolving business needs and decisions making.\nDocument the whole technical process developed \nPerform additional duties as required to support the evolving needs and objectives of the department\nRequirement \nMaster's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).\nMinimum 3 years' experience of Data Engineering/Analyst.\nStrong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Qliksense, Tableau), preferably Power BI with at least 3 years’ experience with it.\nExperience in ETL: KNIME (mandatory minimum 1 year), Power Query, Talend\nFamiliarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Power Platform, Sharepoint, Cryptobox), Power Platform is highly desirable.\nProficiency in SQL, DAX, M, VBA, Python.\nStrong understanding of database systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Access) and RLS (access management).\nProven experience in database migration.\nDesired Competencies\nYou have excellent problem-solving skills, and communication skills to engage technical and non-technical audiences.\nDemonstrated ability to achieve effective outcomes in a multidiscipline, multi-culture environment.\nCapability to engage and align multiple stakeholders with distinct objectives.\nProficient in delivering and receiving feedback, fostering open dialogue, and offering actionable input.\nA positive attitude combined with excellent interpersonal and motivational skills.\nAgile mindset & practices.\nAt Thales, we’re committed to fostering a workplace where respect, trust, collaboration, and passion drive everything we do.
