As a core member of a dedicated Data Migration Squad, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the transformation and loading pipelines that sit at the heart of the migration\ndelivery.\nYou will work closely with the Technical Lead and your fellow data engineers to ensure that data flows reliably, accurately, and on time from the source ECC6 environment to the target S/4HANA platform.\nWHO ARE YOU?\nYou have solid hands-on experience designing and building ETL pipelines in complex data environments?\nYou are comfortable working with large volumes of heterogeneous data, and you know how to handle edge cases, rejections, and transformation complexity?\nYou are rigorous and detail-oriented - you care about the quality of what you deliver, not just whether it runs?\nYou enjoy working in a team, sharing knowledge, and improving practices collectively?\nYou are curious about SAP data landscapes, or already have some exposure to them?\nThen this role is made for you.\nWHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER\nYou will join a dedicated squad of 4 data professionals, embedded within a broader SAP program team.\nYou will work in close collaboration with the Technical Lead and contribute to the delivery of migration pipelines across all in-scope data objects, in an agile delivery mode with iterative development and\nregular validation cycles.\nBy joining us, you will play a hands-on role in one of the most technically challenging phases of a major international transformation program.\nYour mission will include:\nDesigning, developing, and maintaining ETL pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and loading\nImplementing transformation rules based on mapping specifications defined with the Technical Lead\nParticipating in data quality checks, reconciliation processes, and error handling\nDocumenting pipeline logic, transformation rules, and technical decisions\nContributing to the continuous improvement of delivery practices within the squad\nWHAT YOU BRING\nSenior Data Engineer\n2-4 years of experience in data engineering or ETL-focused roles\nComfortable implementing pipelines based on defined specifications\nEager to grow in a structured migration context\nETL & Data Engineering\nSolid hands-on experience with at least one ETL platform (Talend, Informatica, SSIS, or equivalent)\nStrong understanding of data transformation patterns and pipeline design\nExperience working with large and complex datasets\nFamiliarity with data quality concepts - validation rules, rejection handling, reconciliation\nSoft Skills\nRigorous and detail-oriented approach to delivery\nAbility to work collaboratively in a small, fast-moving team\nGood communication skills - able to discuss technical topics with both engineers and functional stakeholders\nNICE TO HAVE\nExposure to SAP data structures or SAP migration projects\nFamiliarity with SAP migration tools (BODS, Syniti/SNP, or equivalent)\nExperience working in an agile delivery environment\nKnowledge of cloud-based data platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS)\nYOUR CAREER AT THALES \nFuture opportunities will allow you to discover other domains or sites.
