Discover all Thales activities in here.\nSay HI* - to your career as a\nDigital HW Development Engineer\nIn our Tubize site, you will join 250+ colleagues recognized by domestic and international partners for their expertise on Radio Frequency (RF) Products, C4ISR, Crypto Global Solution, MACS (Aeronautical Intercom) and many others.\nYour mission:\nYou will be responsible for new-product development tasks, including breadboarding, circuit simulation, electronic test procedure documentation, and lab guidance of product testing\nYou will be responsible for the design and development of digital products from concept to production. This includes analysis of customer specifications, sub-system and detailed design. As such you will create digital circuits, ensuring signal integrity and optimal performance\nYou will center your activity on digital electronic systems design, ranging from simple embedded microcontrollers to high-end FPGA-based systems\nYou will define the PCB schematics and guide layout engineers, validate prototypes, perform design integration and qualification, and follow up the design into production\nYou will contribute to product qualification according to high-level international standards. You will also ensure the electronic designs meet industry standards and regulatory compliance.\nWhat we are looking for:\nYou hold a Master’s Degree in engineering with a specialty in electronics, telecommunications or equivalent\nYou have at least 5 years of experience in digital circuit design\nYou are comfortable with analyzing customer needs and determining the requirements, capacity, and cost for developing products\nYou are interested in designing, developing, analyzing, and testing new and existing electrical and electronic products to specifications provided by the customer and marketing\nYou are passionate about technology and willing to learn new technologies\nYou design digital hardware that can be used with either analogue, digital, or mixed-signal technology.\nAs a strong bonus, you have:\nKnowledge of boundary scan testing\nKnowledge of reliability and design robustness analysis (MTBF and MTTF calculations, worst-case, part stress, Failure Mode analysis)\nKnowledge of signal integrity\nProblem-solving, debugging and failure analysis skills with a solid understanding of core engineering principles\nHands-on laboratory work including using oscilloscope, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers and other test equipment\nCommunication skills, including the ability to clearly express technical concepts in oral and written forms across different management levels\nThe ability to work in team and a taste for international contacts\nThe flexibility to integrate a project at different stages\nGood command of English and fluency in French and/or Dutch.\nThales Group is a global technology leader with more than 81,000 employees on five continents.
