He/She coordinates and monitors the implementation of all engineering tasks throughout the whole life cycle of a bid/project.\nYour mission\nHelp better delivernow\nProvide a reliable situation awareness\nMeasure actual project progress\nAnticipate & solve issues\nEnsure having the right resources & skills at the right time\nFavor cooperation\nShare experience, look for reuse, seek advice\nHelp better deliver tomorrow\nProvide support to translate strategy into tactical roadmap\nProvide means to monitor and strengthen competitiveness\nPrepare for future client expectations & relationship (push/pull)\nProvide means to anticipate future engineering capabilities\nJointly with the engineering organization, provide analysis and build improvement plans concerning required skills, technologies and building-blocks to have a successful delivery\nYour responsibilities:\nEnsure engineering activities are well managed within constraints of bids/projects, approved architecture, design policy, contracts, and company quality requirements.\nDeploy adequate practices, Thales DDQS Process and Tools tailored to reach the required maturity according to Project delivery challenges\nLead collaborative discussion and co-engineering between internal teams, vendors and customers to analyze, prioritize and validate stakeholders' requirements.\nEnsure that engineering scope, plans and activities satisfy customer requirements, and are delivered on time, on budget and with the required quality.\nWork closely with Design Authority to oversee and approve the outcome of evaluation studies on design alternatives, and to provide advice to both the customer and internal technical teams.\nWith the Project manager, define the engineering work breakdown structure, project organization structure, tasks schedule, engineering KPIs, and associated engineering tasks. Tailor as required and ensure all baseline requirements are met in the leanest way.\nDefine the strategy for development, build increments, validation, and project commissioning.\nMonitor progress based on relevant KPIs that allow anticipation and ensure issues discovered are addressed promptly according to different project phases.\nPerform periodic reporting to internal management and customer\nEnsure the implementation of multi-project synergies and lessons learnt, to optimize cost of technical solutions.\nManage engineering risks & opportunities during bids and project phase and the related mitigation plans, guarantees program commitments, including those flown down to subcontractors and partners.\nOptimize technical work against costs, schedule and risks from design to validation and acceptance of the solution.\nManage Work Package Managers (WPM) and Integration Verification, Validation and Qualification (IVVQ) Manager to ensure successful completion of respective milestones.\nOther duties as agreed with the Project Manager\nSkills needed:\nYou know how to verify the technical deliverables of engineering teams (customer needs, OCD, requirements, architecture choice…)\nYou are able to lead and manage technical engineering projects, meeting the requirements with a clear view of the risks and opportunities\nYou are able to engage and influence a diverse set of stakeholders as well as creating clear and achievable goals\nYou are able to take decisions-even in uncertain contexts\nYou are highly customer focused with excellent communication skills\nFrench language skills (at least b2)\nYou will be able to demonstrate the following, aligned to the Thales Leadership Behavioral Model:\nacting with agility to ensure that the business objectives remain in focus\ndealing with multiple strands of complexity to achieve business objectives\nengaging with stakeholders to achieve a common goal\ncreating a competitive advantage by managing risk, identifying opportunities and fostering continuous improvement\nsupporting the development of others to ensure we continuously improve for our customers\nThe Engineering Delivery Manager will work closely with the Project Manager and the Project Design Authority (PDA) for the specific projects.\nAt Thales, we’re committed to fostering a workplace where respect, trust, collaboration, and passion drive everything we do.
