Thales supports the security and stability of our nation by providing extraordinary technology to our customers, as well as delivering social value to the UK with our products and services.\nIndustrial Data & Software Engineer\nAre you passionate about data, software and smart manufacturing?\nThales is looking for an Industrial Data & Software Engineer to develop data-driven solutions that improve manufacturing performance and help shape our Industry 4.0 future.\nWhat you’ll do\nBuild and automate data pipelines and ETL workflows using tools such as Node-RED.\n\nDesign and maintain SQL and NoSQL databases for industrial data.\n\nDevelop dashboards and analytics to improve manufacturing performance.\n\nUse Python, JavaScript and statistical analysis to identify inefficiencies and support process improvement.\n\nSupport IoT, machine monitoring, smart tooling and predictive maintenance solutions.\n\nWork with engineering and operational teams to take solutions from requirements through to deployment.\n\nWhat we’re looking for\nStrong Python and JavaScript programming skills.\n\nExperience building data pipelines and ETL solutions.\n\nSQL and NoSQL database experience.\n\nStatistical analysis experience within a manufacturing environment.\n\nLinux/Unix experience.\n\nStrong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.\n\nA relevant technical degree, such as Data Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or Electrical & Electronic Engineering.\n\nDesirable\nExperience with MQTT, OPC UA, TCP/IP, machine learning/AI, C++, Digital Twins, MATLAB, Minitab, Simulink, WITNESS or Lean Six Sigma would be an advantage.\nJoin Thales\nThis is a great opportunity to combine software engineering, data and advanced manufacturing, creating solutions that have a real impact on the factory floor.\nApply now and help us build the smarter, connected factories of the future.\nAt Thales, we ensure equal opportunities, pay and working conditions for all.
