The Group has also established an MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) facility in Gurugram to provide comprehensive avionics maintenance and repair services to Indian airlines and support the growth of the local aviation industry.Responsibilities\nApply SRE core tenets of measurement (SLI/SLO/SLA), eliminate toil, and reliability modeling\nEnable and educate development teams on industry best practice design patterns, ways of working and operational knowledge to ensure platform continuity\nDevelop and architect solutions to infrastructure and operational aspects of new products and feature sets\nAssist with go/no go preplanning, verification/validation, and review of existing and new product/services\nProactively analyze data and test the integrity of network/systems to ensure production applications and services are operating optimally\nWork within development teams to troubleshoot and resolve business affecting issues\nEscalations, incident response, RCA, and blameless postmortem\nParticipate in on-call rotation\nQualifications\nAt least 7+ years of professional experience within a cloud/web/CDN scale infrastructure\nExpert Linux troubleshooting in production: isolate CPU vs memory vs IO vs network bottlenecks quickly; hands-on with top/htop, vmstat, iostat, sar, pidstat, ss, lsof, dmesg, and journald/systemd.\nStrong networking fundamentals + practical debugging: deep understanding of TCP/UDP and routing basics; can prove issues using curl, dig, mtr/traceroute, nc, and tcpdump.\n DNS & HTTP(S) clarity: understands resolver vs authoritative, TTL/caching, SERVFAIL/NXDOMAIN patterns; knows HTTP 502/503/504 meaning and common LB/proxy failure modes.\nTLS/SSL proficiency: understands certificate chain, expiry, SNI mismatch, handshake failures; can validate quickly using openssl s_client and interpret output.\n Production mindset: prioritizes mitigation first (rollback/disable/route around), then RCA; writes clear runbooks and automates repeat fixes to reduce toil.\n Expert knowledge of Linux systems, network programming and protocols TCP, UDP, DNS, TLS/SSL, HTTP\nExperience with BGP and Anycast routing is a plus\nExperience with DevOps principles and concepts such as Infrastructure as Code (Ansible/Saltstack), CI/CD (Gitlab, Jenkins, Git), monitoring and visualization (Prometheus, Grafana)\nExperience with big data technologies such as NoSQL/RDBMS, Redis, ElasticSearch, Kafka\nExperience with containers and container management (Docker, Kubernetes)\nExperience analyzing and building data telemetry, modeling, pipelines, UI visualization\nExperience in developing software, troubleshooting, and monitoring large scale distributed systems\nImplement software engineering best practices/standards and software development life cycle\nWorking knowledge and experience of Agile software development methodologies\nA strong team player who is accountable towards business urgency\nAbility to stay organized in a multi-tasking environment\nSelf-starter personality\nAt Thales, we’re committed to fostering a workplace where respect, trust, collaboration, and passion drive everything we do.
