This is an exciting opportunity to support critical programmes and play a key role in developing, optimising and sustaining manufacturing processes for complex, high-technology products.\nWhat the role has to offer\nAs Manufacturing Engineer, you will provide day-to-day technical support to manufacturing operations while driving continuous improvement across products and processes. Working closely with Engineering, Projects, Procurement and Production teams, you'll help ensure products are designed and manufactured efficiently, safely and cost-effectively.\nKey responsibilities will include:\nLeading Production Readiness Reviews (PRRs) and preparing all associated manufacturing data.\n\nAssessing Manufacturing Readiness Levels (MRLs) to identify and mitigate manufacturing risks.\n\nDefining, developing and optimising manufacturing processes, tooling and production layouts.\n\nCreating and maintaining manufacturing documentation, workflows and ERP production data.\n\nSupporting Design for Manufacture activities across engineering and project teams.\n\nActing as the manufacturing representative at Material Review Boards (MRBs) and Configuration Control Boards (CCBs).\n\nDriving continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs, improve efficiency and enhance product quality.\n\nIdentifying opportunities for capital investment through cost-benefit and ROI analysis.\n\nSupporting supply chain activities as an Industrial Subject Matter Expert.\n\nEnsuring manufacturing processes comply with Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.\n\nAbout you\nWe're looking for an engineer who enjoys solving problems, improving processes and working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.\nYou'll ideally have:\nExperience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment.\n\nKnowledge of manufacturing process development and continuous improvement methodologies.\n\nExperience creating and maintaining manufacturing documentation and production data.\n\nUnderstanding of Design for Manufacture (DfM) principles.\n\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.\n\nExperience supporting production, quality and engineering teams within a complex technical environment.\n\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\n\nA degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related discipline is desirable.\n\nWhat we can offer\nAt Thales, we provide careers, not just jobs.
