(CAN.) - Hybrid\nPosition Summary\nThales has a vacancy for a Primavera P6 Planner/Scheduler will be responsible for the planning and scheduling of Work Packages across the Arctic Offshore Patrol Ships & Joint Support Ships (AJISS) Program. Reporting into the Planning Group Lead and forming part of the PMO, you will develop and maintain integrated schedules that enable predictable delivery, effective change control and informed decision-making.\nRegulatory Compliance Requirement\nThis position requires direct or indirect access to hardware, software or technical information controlled under the Canadian Export Control List and/or the US the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be eligible or able to obtain authorization for such access.\nKey Areas of Responsibility\nThis role is well suited to a planner/scheduler who is confident building and maintaining logic-driven schedules in Primavera P6 and is comfortable working closely with project stakeholders to manage a variety of projects.\nThe main duties of the Project Planner include:\nDeveloping and maintaining detailed integrated project schedules in Primavera P6\nTranslating engineering scope into structured WBS, activities, logic and milestones.\nFacilitating scheduling/planning workshops with engineering, project and functional stakeholders.\nEstablishing and maintaining schedule baselines and supporting formal change control.\nPerforming schedule quality checks (logic integrity, float analysis, constraints, critical path).\nTracking progress, forecast completion and analyzing schedule variance and impacts.\nIdentifying schedule risks related to design and implementation activities.\nConforming to PMO-standard reporting: milestone status, critical path, lookahead plans and management dashboards.\nSupporting the established business delivery rhythm through timely updates and accurate forecasting.\nAligning schedule with cost/resource inputs (where applicable) and supporting integrated performance reporting.\nContributing to continuous improvement of PMO planning standards, templates and governance.\nMinimum Qualifications\nUndergraduate qualifications or training in Business, Engineering or Project Management.\nMinimum 4 + Years of experience in planning roles, preferably in a multi-disciplined engineering environment.\nStrong understanding of planning best practices.\nDemonstrated communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work under pressure, prioritize competing demands, and meet tight deadlines.\nCompetent user of Primavera P6.\nExcellent communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present complex information clearly to a range of audiences.\nStrong interpersonal skills including the ability to promote cooperation at all levels.\nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.\nExperience with Earned Value principles, systems and techniques.\nExperience with Schedule Risk Analysis is considered beneficial.\nPrior experience in Engineering or Defense industry is desirable.\nAdvanced MS Excel skills and general data analysis competencies; familiarity with Power Query or BI tools is beneficial.\nAble to obtain a Canadian security clearance and meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the Canadian Controlled Goods Registration Program and ITAR.\nPreferred Qualifications\nKnowledge and understanding of the Defence Sector.\nExperience across the In-Service Support phases of a project lifecycle.\nExperience working in a complex, multidisciplinary, multi-site organization.\nPMI-Scheduling Professional designation, or similar credential\nSpecial Position Requirements\nType of Role: Hybrid (Home/Office) - flexibility to work from home for up to two days per week but expected to be in office at least three days per week.\nSchedule: 40 hours per week.\nPhysical Environment: Office.\nTravel: As required primarily within Canada.\nPay Transparency\nThe anticipated Total Target Compensation (TTC), inclusive of annual salary and bonus eligibility, for this role is $80,000 to 125,000 CAD Annual.
