Together, we’re shaping the future by enabling customers to make pivotal decisions that safeguard communities and power progress.We are seeking a technically competent and improvement-driven Process Engineer to support the manufacturing technology operations, maintain process stability and drive continuous improvement initiatives in a high-volume manufacturing environment.\nResponsibilities:\nProvide technical support to production operations to maintain stable and efficient manufacturing processes.\nInvestigate process deviations, troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.\nMonitor key performance indicators, including process capability, yield, scrap rate, cycle time and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).\nSupport production escalation, containment and recovery activities to minimise operational disruptions.\nImplement sustainable solutions to recurring process issues and improve process robustness.\nIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance product quality, productivity, manufacturing efficiency and cost performance.\nApply Lean Manufacturing principles and structured improvement methodologies to reduce waste and improve process flow.\nAnalyse manufacturing data to identify performance trends, determine improvement opportunities and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented actions.\nContribute to digitalisation and Industry 4.0 initiatives where applicable.\nDevelop and execute process qualification and validation plans, including the preparation of technical reports.\nConduct Design of Experiments (DOE), process capability studies and statistical analyses to establish and optimise process parameters.\nVerify process performance against defined quality, reliability and production requirements before release.\nSupport customer, regulatory and internal qualification requirements, as applicable.\nConduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions using structured problem-solving methodologies.\nDevelop, review and maintain Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Control Plans, Statistical Process Control (SPC) and other process risk management tools.\nSupport internal, customer and external audits and maintain compliance with applicable quality standards and procedures.\nSupport product and process reliability testing, failure analysis and improvement activities.\nPrepare, review and maintain Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process specifications, Control Plans and manufacturing standards.\nCoordinate or support Engineering Change Order (ECO) and Engineering Change Notice (ECN) implementation.\nProvide technical training to operators, technicians and manufacturing personnel on new or revised processes.\nDevelop training materials and support competency assessments and certification requirements, where applicable.\nRequirements:\nDiploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent relevant qualification.\nAt least 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering or a related function, preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment.\nUnderstanding of manufacturing process development, sustaining and optimisation.\nFamiliarity with statistical analysis software such as Minitab or JMP is an advantage.\nKnowledge of DOE, SPC, PFMEA, Control Plans and process capability analysis.\nFamiliarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies.\nKnowledge of root cause analysis techniques, including 8D, 5 Why and Fishbone Analysis.\nProactive approach to identifying process risks and improvement opportunities.\nCommitment to quality, operational excellence and continuous improvement.\nAt Thales, we’re committed to fostering a workplace where respect, trust, collaboration, and passion drive everything we do.
