The role will demand an individual with highly developed communication and influencing skills and an equal depth of domain experience that can ensure Thales delivers the project to the schedule, cost and quality requirements and to the satisfaction of the customer. The ability to collaborate with the Portfolio Manager, lead and motivate an integrated project team will be key to the success of the PM and the execution of the project.\nThe PM will produce detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and regular status reports for the customer and Thales internal management for complex projects, which may include Firm Fixed Price and/or Service based contracts. The current work scope anticipated for the PM is to assist in the delivery of the Land Command, Control, Communications and Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (LC4ISR) Project. The PM will engage with various stakeholders within the Thales matrix organization and within the customer community on the project. The PM will be accountable for driving Execution Excellence on their project and supporting Project Management Office (PMO) initiatives within Thales Canada Defence & Security.\nRegulatory Compliance Requirement\nThis position requires direct or indirect access to hardware, software or technical information controlled under the Canadian Export Control List and/or the US the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be eligible or able to obtain authorization for such access.\nKey Areas of Responsibility\nThe Project Manager will be required to:\nPlan, organize, lead and control the area and staff assigned to achieve outcomes within the delegated authorities and responsibilities for the Project assigned\nEstablish and control the project business rhythm and governance for the overall Project;\nEnsure that Thales project management methodology and a suitable program management framework are used throughout the entire project lifecycle to meet financial objectives and customer commitments;\nDevelop a robust, optimized project schedule;\nManage and track the cost, schedule and technical performance of all aspects of the Project assigned against the approved baseline;\nBe accountable for monitoring/control of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), schedule, risk register, scope change control, on time delivery and EAC within the project;\nOversee achievement of project performance objectives and indicators;\nIdentify support and resources needed to achieve the project objectives with input of the Resource Managers and key stakeholders;\nManage all customer / stakeholder relationships to ensure other responsibilities/accountabilities are achieved. \nLead and motivate a highly performing cross-disciplinary integrated team by providing the appropriate direction, coaching, support and delegation to team members;\nEnsure a robust risk and opportunity management process is embedded in the project, supporting the work package leaders as required;\nPromote Execution Excellence by identifying areas of improvement and supporting PMO initiatives;\nPrepare Project and Estimate to Complete (ETC) Reviews;\nEnsure a “Lessons Learned” culture is embedded within the Project and;\nOther duties as required\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Business or Relevant proven experience;\nCertified Practicing Project Manager or equivalent (IPMA and/or PMP certification);\nPossess demonstrated experience in the engineering or defence sector for at least 5 years;\nMinimum 3 years of experience managing complex projects or work packages\nExcellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and analytical abilities;\nA positive and energized attitude.\nPreferred Qualifications\nA proven ability to lead and influence stakeholders at all levels within the organization.\nStrong commercial / contractual acumen\nKnowledge and understanding of the Defence Sector;\nExperience across the Design, Delivery and In-Service Support phases of a project lifecycle;\nExperience working in a complex, multidisciplinary, multi-site organization;\nExperience with digital automation, application integration and enterprise solutions;\nExperience with cloud-based services and/or the transition of on-premises services to cloud-based services.\nSpecial Position Requirements\nType of Role: Hybrid (Home/Office) - Required to be in office for an average of 3 days a week, but requirements may be increased based on business needs and Manager discretion.\nSchedule: 40 hours per week\nPhysical Environment: Office environment\nTravel: As required primarily within Canada\nPay Transparency\nThe anticipated Total Target Compensation (TTC), inclusive of annual salary and bonus eligibility, for this role is $120,000 to 170,000 CAD Annual.
