So, we stay curious and make space for diverse points of view.\nFrom manufacturing and engineering to cybersecurity and space, we’re driving progress in some of the world’s most important industries - and working together to build a future we can all trust.\nThe purpose of this position is to lead and manage allocated bids and/or projects in the Secure Information Communications business.\nDuties will cover all aspects of Bid & Project Management including:\nLeading and managing assembled bid/project teams to meet business objectives,\nEnsuring the project objectives in relation to cost, time, safety and quality are exceeded,\nStrategically leading the development of high quality and competitive bid offers,\nAdherence to, and improvement of the Thales Bids & Project Management Governance framework\nBENEFITS @ THALES\nCompetitive remuneration + Bonus + Health insurance\n\nFree medical health insurance for you and your family\n\nThalesFlex - flexibility working is our everyday\n\nFitness Passport Discount\n\nEmployee discounts with a number of affiliates (Travel, Car hire, Tech)\n\nModernised Paid Parental Leave\n\nNovated Lease options\n\nFamily support through our partnership with Parents at Work\n\nKEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nAs a Bids and Project Manager, you are accountable for:\nLeading and managing Bids and Projects in accordance with Thales guidelines ensuring it addresses the objectives of the business.\nEngaging transversally across functional areas to optimise resource allocation for bid activities.\nStrategic management of stakeholders and associated communications both external and internal.\nBuilding and enriching customer experience by ensuring products and services delivered exceed where possible, customer expectations\nTake leadership role developing a winning strategy with specific win themes and ensuring it translates into a compelling offer.\nOrganising and conducting gate reviews in accordance with Thales Governance framework.\nManaging and improving Bid and Project integrated schedule, budget, baselines, risks and opportunities.\nCoordinating and negotiating input from suppliers and partners and oversea subcontracts.\nPreparing and presenting all internal and customer reporting requirements.\nActively participate in the development and achievement of Thales functional objectives and strategies.\nIdentify lead KPI’s and conduct complex analysis to provide early alert to the business of all significant emerging variances and risks.\nDevelop mitigation strategies to counter variances and risks\nKNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS\nTo be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:\nDegree qualified in business, engineering, project management or other suitable discipline.\nIPMA Certification or ability to secure certification.\nProven and effective leadership skills with a high level of interpersonal and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.\nAt least five years’ Bid and Project Management experience at a senior level with multi-partners / major co-contractors.\nAbility to lead in an international environment in diverse cultures, multicultural and unstable arena concerning one or several stakeholders.\nExperience working with complex Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).\nThe confidence and maturity of judgement to represent the company at high levels with customer organisations both nationally and internationally.\nDemonstrated ability to develop high performing teams.\nExceptional written communication skills including authoring content and editing.\nStrong internal stakeholder management in a matrix organisation.\nExceptional customer focus and external relationship management.\nAbility to navigate complexity and ambiguity to make effective commercial and financial decisions.\nGOOD TO KNOW\nPrior to being offered employment, you will need to complete pre-employment police and (role dependent) medical checks.
