The role involves coordinating and executing integration activities, troubleshooting system issues and ensuring the various components are working seamlessly together while satisfying functional and performance requirements.\nWorking within a Integrated Product Team, the role may also involve Verification and Validation activities.\nKEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nAs aSr. Integration Engineer, you are accountable for:\nConduct the successful integration and the test of incremental software releases for systems and/or subsystems, in accordance with the schedule set by the Technical Leads and WPM\nManage and/or contribute to the setup of environments to facilitate the integration, testing and acceptance activities required by the program. Provide instruction on the setup of environments to support validation activities.\nDefine and/or contribute to testing activities across multiple platforms (regression, interface, simulation scenarios and test tools) to support project milestones and deadlines\nAble to analyse System/Subsystem technical and functional issues, ensuring they are identified early, captured fully and logged according to internal processes.\nTo collaborate with System, Subsystem and Infrastructure teams to ensure that the integration activities are in line with the design and specifications\nOutput documentation and engineering artefacts (E.g. System Integration Test Documentation) with the expected level of compliance (functional, performance, robustness, security and quality) that are aligned with internal configuration management processes.\nProduce scripts in order to automate system administration tasks. \nManage and/or implement test & measuring tools used for system performance, loading and response-time assessment\nProvide technical support to junior integrators and the V&V teams\nSupport Technical Leads and WPM through:Making recommendations on strategies to improve performance or productivity\nIdentify risks, and proposing effective solution early and executing mitigation actions\nProviding input into the planning and coordination of program integration activities \n\nWork directly with the customer and internal integration training (as required)\nIdentify risks, and propose effective solutions; execute mitigation actions and report on outcomes / cost savings and residual risks\nAuthoring and/or reviewing documentation and documentation updates \nPromote knowledge sharing ensuring that work is captured sufficiently for re-use across projects\nFollowing Thales processes and practises and contribute to their improvement\nKEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE\nTo be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:\nQualifications\nDegree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or relevant experience\nEssential Experience\n5 years minimum experience holding similar positions integrating complex software-centric real-time systems\nAbility to understand the structure of and troubleshoot Virtualisation Platforms/Operating Systems (Clients/Servers): 3+ yearsLinux/Unix Operating Systems, SNMP Services, RSYSLOG\nWindows Operating systems\nVMWare\n\nScripting: Python, Shell, XML: 3+ years\nDevOps and Automation Tools: Ansible, Jenkins\nConfiguration Management: GIT (Bitbucket), JIRA\nCybersecurity: LDAP, AD, PKI\nNetwork Protocols and technologies: SNMP, UDP, TCP, IP\nDebugging tools e.g. Wireshark\nInfrastructure monitoring tools\nAptitude to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary integrated team environment with colleagues based in remote sites or other countries.\nA positive attitude combined with excellent interpersonal and motivational skills.\nAbility to effectively communicate complex engineering issues and concepts both verbally and written - tailored appropriately for the stakeholder\nWork experience in integrating large projects, preferably ATC-related (Military of Civilian).\nDesirable:\nProgramming Languages: Java, C++\nSite integration and deployment experience\nKnowledge of networks and network configuration / exposure to distributed systems\nGeneral / Special Requirements\nGENERAL\nAssist in ensuring a harmonious work environment in all departments that you are working with by upholding Thales' key values.\nAn advocate for diversity and inclusion who will be actively involved in implementing change initiatives to achieve our diversity goals\nAn advocate for a culture of continuous improvement\nAn advocate for Accountability, transparency and curiosity\nComply with all relevant company Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies and framework and work practices with the intent of preventing or minimising accidental exposures to self, colleagues, visitors and/or the environment and to ensure a safe work practises at all times.\nComply with all relevant Company policies and procedures.\nSPECIAL REQUIREMENTS\nBe eligible for Security Clearance from the Singapore Ministry of Home Affairs (CAT2)\nOccasional international travel may be required\nAt Thales, we’re committed to fostering a workplace where respect, trust, collaboration, and passion drive everything we do.
