Our expertise covers three sectors: Air, Land and Sea.\nAs a Senior Systems Engineer you will be able to work autonomously to contribute towards the systems engineering design activities throughout the engineering project involving:\nDefinition of Systems Requirements for the product\nCreation of design documentation capturing the systems engineering design\nDefinition of the internal and external interfaces of the system\nFunctional definition of system behaviour\nDevelopment of test procedures to support the verification of the system\nCarrying out integration and verification testing against test procedures\nConducting activities to gather evidence that the systems requirements have been achieved\nPeer reviewing technical artefacts\nSupporting the wider engineering team by sharing knowledge\nThe successful candidate should be a good communicator who is proactive and able to constructively challenge ideas and concepts and have experience in:\nWorking as part of a multi-disciplinary design team\nDefining systems interfaces, boundaries and other external factors that would impact on design\nRequirements Engineering (elicitation, decomposition and analysis)\nAnalysing the operational concepts of a system\nIt would be beneficial if the candidate also has:\nExperience of the decomposition of a systems design to sub-system level \nExperience or knowledge of systems modelling techniques\nExperience of analysing potential solutions against the key needs in a design brief\nExperience of using design analysis techniques (trade-off analysis, calculations, modelling and simulation, etc.)\nThis role will report to the Head of Discipline for Systems Engineering and the Engineering Delivery Manager for their project.\nSecurity Clearance Requirement:\nDue to the nature of the work that we do at Thales, many of our roles are subject to security restrictions. This role requires Security Clearance (SC). It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance prior to commencing employment.\nTo be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years.
