Working from our Melbourne Office in the World Trade Centre on Wurundjeri land, your role purpose will be\nDesigning, developing and integrating software solutions\nContributing to software architecture, design and technical decision-making\nSupporting requirements development, implementation, testing and verification activities\nApplying Agile and DevSecOps engineering practices\nCollaborating with software, systems and test engineers to deliver customer-focused outcomes\nContinuously improving engineering processes, tools and ways of working.\nYour Experience\nOn day one in this role, we'll expect you to bring the following skills, experience and behaviours:\nDegree qualifications in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline\nCommercial experience developing software applications using Java\nExperience across the full software development lifecycle\nStrong understanding of software design, development, testing and integration practices\nExperience with tools such as Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Gradle, Jira and Eclipse\nExposure to Agile delivery methodologies such as Scrum or SAFe\nStrong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.\nAustralian Defence & Security Clearance\nA Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.\nAdditional information with regards to clearances is available from the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency website http://www.defence.gov.au/AGSVA/.
