In this role you will act as the technical leader of customer projects, ensuring that delivered solutions meet operational, performance, safety and security requirements throughout the project lifecycle.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDefine and maintain the solution architecture for Air Traffic Management projects, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and technical constraints;\nAnalyse customer and operational requirements and translate them into robust, scalable and effective technical solutions;\nLead architectural decisions and ensure technical consistency across the different system components;\nIdentify and manage technical risks, assumptions, dependencies and trade-offs throughout the project lifecycle;\nCoordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Hardware, Integration and Verification & Validation;\nEnsure compliance with applicable safety, security, regulatory and contractual requirements;\nAct as the main technical interface with customers, project managers and internal stakeholders on solution architecture matters;\nSupport system integration, verification, validation, deployment and customer acceptance activities;\nContribute to the continuous evolution of Thales solutions, identifying opportunities for technical improvements and new capabilities;\nExperience in Air Traffic Management (ATM), Air Traffic Control (ATC) or other safety-critical industries, such as railway signalling, avionics or energy (highly valued).\nProfile:\nDegree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field;\nSignificant experience in Solution Architecture, Software Architecture, Systems Engineering or Technical Leadership within complex engineering projects;\nProven experience designing and delivering complex, mission-critical systems;\nStrong understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle, from requirements analysis and architecture definition to integration, verification and validation;\nExperience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams and coordinating technical activities across different domains;\nAbility to assess technical trade-offs, manage risks and make informed architectural decisions;\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences;\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English.\nThe Group invests more than €4 billion per year in Research & Development in key areas, particularly for critical environments, such as Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, quantum and cloud technologies.\nIn 2025, the Group generated sales of €22.1 billion.\nFor our more than 85,000 employees in 65 countries we open up visionary perspectives, realise individual career paths and enable creative freedom.
