Discover all Thales activities in Belgium here.\nYour mission\nThales Belgium Technical Design Office department is responsible for the design and the development of hardware products for both Military and Civil applications incorporating mechanical design, PCB layout, components selection and prototypes manufacturing. The discipline is also responsible for the technical support of the production activities located on Tubize and Peutie sites. The department is currently looking for a Team Leader Prototypes for products development and manufacturing activities.\nWe are looking for a versatile Team Leader Prototypes to supervise and coordinate manufacturing activities, including mechanical assembly, PCB mounting, harness manufacturing, and subcontractor management. You will also be responsible for continuous improvement, quality standards compliance, and inventory control.\nMain responsibilities:\n Prototype Production supervisionOrganize, plan, and oversee activities such as:Electrical harnesses manufacturing, testing and installation\nMechanical assembly\nPCB assembly and soldering (SMD & Through holes)\n\nEnsure compliance with deadlines, quality standards and manufacturing targets\n\nTeam managementLead, train, and motivate a team of multi-skilled operators\nAllocate tasks based on skills, including ramp-up\nProvide weekly reporting and escalate technical and human-related issues\nPromote the feedback loop between designers and operators to improve manufacturability\nCollaborate effectively with other team leaders and team members\n\n Subcontractor follow upCoordinate outsourced activities (make or buy decision)\nControl the delivery and quality of deliverables\nMaintain effective communication with external partners\n\n Continuous improvementActively participate in the implementation and monitoring of continuous improvement initiatives (5S, VSM, Kaizen…)\nIdentify opportunities to optimize manufacturing and internal processes\nEnsure compliance with standards (ISO, IPC…)\n\nInventory and logistics managementMonitor consumption of components\nContribute to reduce waste and avoid stock piling & shortage\n\nWe are looking forward to\nEducationMaster or Bachelor in electronics or mechanics, or equivalent through experience\n\nKnowledge and experienceMin 10 years of experience in a similar position\nMS Excel mandatory\nStrong knowledge of French and English.\nExperience in mechanical or harnesses manufacturing\nKnowledge in IPC610/620 Standards is a plus\nExperience in military sector in a plus\n\n Soft skillsAutonomy, sense of initiative and leadership\nRigorousness, commitment and accountability, ability to take and meet commitments\nTeam spirit, listening and communication skills\n\nThales is a global technology leader with more than 81,000 employees on five continents.
