Together, we’re shaping the future by enabling customers to make pivotal decisions that safeguard communities and power progress.The Technical Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing engineering activities throughout the bid and project lifecycle to ensure delivery within agreed cost, schedule, quality and performance requirements.\nThe primary work location is based at Changi North Rise. The role has to undertake frequent international business travel across continents to support project delivery, customer engagement and collaboration with international teams.\nResponsibilities:\nPlan, coordinate and monitor engineering activities to meet contractual obligations, approved architecture, technical standards and quality requirements.\nDefine engineering work breakdown structures, resource plans, schedules, deliverables, milestones and key performance indicators (KPIs).\nLead multidisciplinary collaboration to analyse, prioritise and validate stakeholder requirements, resolve technical interfaces and manage customer expectations.\nWork with the Design Authority to evaluate design alternatives and recommend solutions that balance technical performance, cost, schedule and risk.\nOversee engineering development, integration, verification, validation, qualification, acceptance and commissioning activities.\nManage engineering risks, opportunities, issues and dependencies, including those involving subcontractors and external partners; implement mitigation and corrective actions promptly.\nMonitor progress against approved baselines, manage scope changes through formal change-control processes and provide regular reports to management and customers.\nCoordinate Work Package Managers (WPMs) and the Integration, Verification, Validation and Qualification (IVVQ) Manager to achieve engineering milestones.\nEnsure timely production of technical documentation and compliance with applicable engineering governance and project management methodologies, including Chorus and Agile practices where appropriate.\nPromote lessons learnt, reusable solutions and continuous improvement to optimise engineering delivery, cost and quality.\nSupport the development of engineering policies, standards and procedures in collaboration with the Engineering Head or Director.\nPerform other relevant duties assigned by the Project Manager or Engineering Head.: \nRequirements:\nDegree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related discipline.\nAt least 4 years of relevant experience in senior engineering, systems engineering or technical delivery roles.\nAbility to undertake frequent international business travel across continents to support project delivery, customer engagement and collaboration with international teams.\nProject Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred. \nExperience across the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements management, design, integration, verification and validation.\nExperience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing engineering schedules, deliverables, risks and resources for small projects or work packages.\nExperience in IT, cybersecurity, command-and-control (C2), defence or other complex systems engineering projects.\nUnderstanding of project governance, engineering documentation and large-project delivery practices.\nStrong communication, stakeholder management, analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExperience implementing wireless communications systems, including satellite communications.\nFamiliarity with SAFe, Scrum or other Agile delivery methodologies.\nMembership of a relevant professional organisation, such as INCOSE or an engineering institution.\nAt Thales, we’re committed to fostering a workplace where respect, trust, collaboration, and passion drive everything we do.
